Duggar Family Hints At Adoption, A Wedding, More Courtships In Future Seasons Of ‘Counting On’
The Duggar family was able to secure another season of Counting On with Season 2 of the series set to premiere on August 23, 2016, at 8/7c on TLC. The season will include 10 new episodes and will follow Jinger Duggar as she courts Jeremy Vuolo. However, the courtship isn’t the only thing that the Duggars claim fans may see in the future seasons of Counting On. In fact, the Duggars say it is an “exciting time in our family” noting that the older Duggar children are ready to leave their “lows in the past” and move forward with their lives. The family also teased at the possibility of adoption and more courtships in the near future.
The Duggar family posted a teaser for the upcoming season of Counting On. The family noted in the release on their official blog that Season 2 of Counting On will air on August 23. The family says they are excited about Jinger Duggar’s courtship with Jeremy Vuolo, but note that there is a lot more happening in the family aside the courtship (which was recently revealed as an engagement).
The Duggars reveal that there are a lot of “exciting” things that TLC was able to capture for the upcoming season of Counting On with the family saying they are ready to move past their “lows.”
“While Jinger is in courtship bliss, the other older Duggar siblings are ready to leave the lows of the past year behind them and look forward to new and exciting highs.”
The family reveals that Jill and Derick Dillard will be returning to the United States from Central America with their son, Israel. Therefore, we can expect to see more of Jill this season as her young family is back in Arkansas for filming. Additionally, the Duggars say that Jessa and Ben Seewald are hoping to expand their family hint at the possibility of the Seewalds adopting a baby.
“Ben and Jessa are experiencing all the excitement of being new parents and possible plans for adoption.”
If Jinger’s courtship and subsequent engagement or Jessa’s expansion of her family aren’t enough to entice viewers, the Duggars also hint at the possibility of new courtships for some of the Duggar children. The family specifically calls out John David, Joseph, and Josiah as the potential courtship candidates.
“Joy, Jedidiah and Jeremiah are also reaching a milestone with high school graduation rapidly approaching. And, these three aren’t the only ones growing up; could John David, Joseph and Josiah be pursuing courtships? These siblings aren’t kids anymore, and each new relationship, parenting challenge and exciting endeavor are a reminder of how much they’ve grown.”
Sadly for Jana Duggar, it seems that Jim Bob and Michelle aren’t holding out hope that she will be courting anytime soon. The Counting On press release doesn’t even mention the eldest Duggar daughter. Though the Season 2 announcement doesn’t mention Jana, she is still heavily promoted as the Duggar’s resident homemaker on the family’s Facebook page with Jana frequently posted babysitting her numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and taking care of chores around the home. She also allegedly an expert gardener and home improvement specialist. If it needs to be done in the Duggar home, chances are it is Jana that is taking care of business.
