Taylor Swift And Selena Gomez Strengthening Friendship Or Struggling With Feud?
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have become famous for their loyal and lengthy friendship. But amid Taylor’s other problems, such as that epic feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, rumors are swirling that Swift also has been feuding with her pal Selena, as well as some of her girl squad.
The report of a hostile backlash from her friends such as Gomez stems from In Touch, noted Gossip Cop, which investigated the claims of a “#SquadRevolt.” In Touch quoted a source who alleged that Taylor’s pals were dishing up dirt about her.
“Some in her squad are talking about how relieved they are that the real Taylor is being exposed.”
That insider focused on the relationship between Selena and Swift, insisting that although the “Hands To Myself” singer posted a defense of her friend on Twitter after the feud with Kim and Kanye exploded, they are having problems in private. The source described the friendship as “hot and cold,” alleging that the problems were caused when Gomez discovered Taylor had been throwing shade.
“Selena recently found out some pretty horrible stuff Taylor has said about her, including about her weight and choice of boyfriends.”
However, Gossip Cop denies that any such trouble exists between Gomez and Swift.
“Selena keeps reminding Taylor that she will come out stronger in the end if she doesn’t react to anything Kanye says and to just concentrate on her music and the powerful music she’s writing,” shared the insider.
After her initial response to Kim’s unveiling of that secretly taped phone conversation, Swift has only posted a sweet happy birthday message to Gomez and throwback photo on Instagram.
“Going through old pictures today, because @selenagomez just turned 24!” wrote Taylor. “I can’t imagine my life without you, Selena. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
In addition, Taylor has maintained silence on Twitter since her initial response to the drama.
“That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.”
But while Swift has apparently followed Selena’s suggestion and stayed out of the Twitter tempest, Gomez showed her support for her friend by taking up the gauntlet.
“There are more important things to talk about … Why can’t people use their voice for something that f***ing matters?” demanded Gomez in one of her tweets. “Truth is, last thing we need right now is hate, in any form. This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh.”
But the situation became even more dramatic after Selena’s messages. Some Twitter users exploded at Gomez herself, challenging that she had failed to take advantage of the potential to use her platform to help with social issues. However, Selena was involved in a charity single, teaming up with other well-known musicians to use her talent to help the victims in Orlando.
One person who criticized Gomez received a direct response. That user slammed Selena for staying silent in public on the “Black Lives Matter” cause.
“So that means if I hashtag something I save lives? No, I could give two f**s about ‘sides.’ You don’t know what I do,” responded Selena before deciding to delete that response.
