Katharine McPhee Honored As Best Dressed Hollywood Star

Katharine McPhee was all over New York’s Fashion Week, showing up at fashion shows and earning high marks for her own sense of style, but fans who are looking forward to seeing her on Smash will have to wait quite a bit longer.

McPhee was seen out an about during Fashion Week, sitting front row at the Rebecca Taylor Spring 2013 fashion presentation in New York City, Just Jared reported.

Later Katharine McPhee had a chance to meet Rebecca Taylor at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week show, tweeting about how much she enjoyed the experience.

“Loved your show @myrebeccataylor! Beautiful beautiful. Can’t wait to wear them. :)” Katharine tweeted.

Katharine McPhee wasn’t the only Smash star taking in Fashion Week. Her co-star Megan Hilty was seen at Get Glam: A Fashion Week Lounge.

But fans of Smash will have to wait quite a bit longer to see them on television again. The show has been shelved until the second half of the upcoming television season, with NBC pushing it back all the way to January. The network has thrown fans some scarps, releasing a clip of Jennifer Hudson’s appearance on the show, HollywoodLife.com reported.

“[Smash] is a showcase for some of the best musical talent in the business and that’s a fitting description for Jennifer Hudson,” Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, previously said in statement. “[Jennifer’s] character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it.”

Katharine McPhee did more than just take in shows during Fashion Week, World Entertainment News Network reported. She and Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick were honored as the best dressed Hollywood stars at the Style Awards in New York. The accolades, the equivalent of the One to Watch award, will ensure that Katharine McPhee will be a much sought-after celebrity in the future, the report said.
