Gwen Stefani Shares Inside Look At Blake Shelton’s 40th Birthday Party, Kisses Him During Surprise Performance

Gwen Stefani invited her fans to Blake Shelton’s 40th birthday bash, and it looks like the couple had an absolute blast jamming to 80s tunes and partying on a private jet ahead of one of Blake’s concerts.

On Saturday, Gwen and Blake were photographed boarding a private jet in Burbank, California. As Just Jared points out, it was Blake’s 40th birthday, so Gwen decided to turn their plane ride into a mini-party complete with decorations, music, gifts, and cake.

One of Gwen Stefani’s recent Snapchat videos shows Blake Shelton chilling out on the private plane in front of his small birthday spread. He’s wearing a giant button on his shirt that lets everyone know that it’s his 40th birthday, and the Earth, Wind & Fire tune “Sing a Song” is playing in the background. The couple were joined by Gwen’s brother, Todd, and his wife Jennifer.

Gwen didn’t just get Blake a big birthday boy button to wear; she also bought him a silly pair of sunglasses adorned with a birthday candle and a headband with a giant, sparkly “40” on it. Gwen Stefani likely picked out the funny party favors herself. As the Inquisitr previously reported, she spent Thursday afternoon perusing a party supply store for the perfect 40th birthday decorations and novelty items. There’s no word on whether Blake’s private plane party was a surprise.

Gwen Stefani shared a photo of one the gifts Blake Shelton received during their mile-high birthday party, and it was a handmade, sentimental gift. Someone close to the couple had artist Cheryl Rosa paint their likenesses on a pair of wine glasses, which are perfect for sipping sangria from. Gwen drew a heart around the thoughtful birthday present.

Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and their guests were headed to Grand Junction, Colorado, for Blake’s performance at the Country Jam music festival. They had a little time before Blake had to hit the stage, so they continued their celebration in the singer’s trailer. The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Blake while popping open a bottle of champagne, and Blake was presented with a guitar-shaped birthday cake.

In one of Gwen’s most bizarre birthday Snapchats, Blake holds his signature red cup while dancing to Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” He has a paper towel stuffed in his nose and is playing a little air guitar.

“Does Blake have a bloody nose like Todd?” Gwen’s sister-in-law can be heard saying in the background. Perhaps Blake and Todd were both suffering from nosebleeds caused by the higher altitude in Colorado.

According to Taste of Country, Gwen Stefani surprised the Country Jam crowd by joining Blake Shelton onstage for a performance of their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” It was described as “the moment that stole the festival.”

Gwen reportedly asked the crowd to join her in wishing Blake a Happy Birthday, and she treated them to a performance of the No Doubt song “Hella Good.” Before leaving the stage, she gave Blake a birthday kiss.

“I possibly witnessed the coolest and craziest thing of my life tonight,” Blake tweeted after his performance with Gwen.

As Us Weekly reports, Gwen Stefani couldn’t wait to help Blake Shelton celebrate his 40th birthday on Saturday. Before she threw the private plane party for her beau, she took to social media to gush about how great her guy is.

“Happy birthday to my favorite person I ever met,” Gwen tweeted. She also called Blake a “superbabe.”

Because Blake had to work on his birthday, he and Gwen went out to celebrate on Friday night. Todd and Jennifer Stefani reportedly joined them at an eatery in West Hollywood. Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller spotted the couple at the table next to her and tweeted that they left her “starstruck.”

It definitely looks like Gwen Stefani succeeded in making Blake Shelton’s birthday unforgettable and fun, so her cowboy can’t feel too bad about turning the big 4-0.
