Michael ‘Dr. Miami’ Salzhauer: Plastic Surgeon With 406,000 Instagram Fans Wins At Snapchat [Video]

There is something really different about the plastic surgeon known as “Dr. Miami” to his many Instagram and Snapchat followers. First off, the fact that Michael “Dr. Miami” Salzhauer has very active Instagram and Snapchat accounts at all is pretty revolutionary, seeing as though plenty of cosmetic surgeons choose to only show up on sites like Real Self and keep their surgery processes a big mystery. Not Dr. Miami, however.

Not only does the plastic surgeon offer free consultations, but ABC News has noted that Dr. Miami has taken his surgeries to Snapchat to show consumers what some surgeries really entail. It was the teenage daughter of Dr. Miami who showed the good doctor how to use Snapchat after Instagram took issue with the graphic nature of some of his surgery photos. Dr. Miami has his patients sign permission forms, with about 67 percent of them agreeing to be featured on Snapchat. Dr. Miami notes that about 67 percent of his patients used to deny him permission to put their photos and videos on social media — now that number has reversed, with some patients specifically requesting that Dr. Miami put them on his popular Snapchat page.

As seen in the below video, Salzhauer’s surgeries for that day entailed Brazilian butt lifts along with an “implant exchange,” not too surprising, seeing as though the number of women getting their breast implants removed or “explanted” is on the rise, as reported by the Inquisitr.

Warning: The following video contains blurred footage of cosmetic surgeries that might be disturbing to some viewers.

The Instagram account of “TheRealDrMiami” has won at least 406,000 Instagram followers, with the self-described “Trap King” proving he is a man of many talents. A search for Michael Salzhauer not only reveals his nearly 1,000 Instagram posts with celebrities sprinkled in the mix, but also the fact that the 44-year-old has written and starred in movies like My Beautiful Zombie.

While some might question the fondness Dr. Miami has for Snapchat videos and social media transparency, the surgeon eschews those concerns. Dr. Miami rolls on with his surgeries, with reality TV stars such as Jessica Dime showing up in NSFW videos, preparing to get her breast implants fixed. In fact, he feels it is a good thing to have his surgeries on video, as should be all surgeries.

In the event of medical malpractice or incompetence concerns, the proof is in the pudding — or the Snapchat videos — to display all the actions undertaken during surgery. Dr. Miami likens his videos during surgery to cops wearing body cameras. It is a notion that more industries should adopt, as long as they’ve got nothing to hide.

Apparently, the philosophy is working for Dr. Miami. The #DrMiami hashtag on Instagram has nearly 9,000 posts attached, with many people using his name simply to promote other products and services. People fly from miles away around the globe to visit Dr. Miami, and a plethora of fun comments is always left on his Instagram page, giving him praise and kudos, or asking questions.

Some folks leaving comments complain how hard it is to get an appointment with the popular doctor.

@therealdrmiami it has been impossible to get an app for a consultation!!”

As reported by Vanity Fair, Dr. Miami recently hit one million views. He even once got into a war of tweets on Twitter with Nicki Minaj, when Nicki claimed she didn’t know who the plastic surgeon was.

With folks like “Dr. J Curves” out of Atlanta and other plastic surgeons like Dr. Miami being touted by celebrities, it is no doubt that these social media stars will find themselves even more popular as plastic surgery demands show no signs of slowing down.
