Tamar Braxton fans have been speculating about exactly what led to her being let go from The Real since it was announced that she had been fired from the show last month.
But while the official reason for Tamar’s departure still remains under wraps, it appears Braxton has been dropping some pretty serious hints about the current status of her relationship with her fellow Real co-hosts in recent weeks, suggesting that things may not exactly be as friendly as they appeared on the show.
After a short social media hiatus following the news that she would not be returning to the daytime talk show, Tamar appeared to put her former Real co-hosts, Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, and Tamera Mowry-Housley, on serious blast on Instagram after liking a fan’s post that referred to them as being “phony b***hes.”
Instagram user @unrulybadgyal took to the social media site to post a meme showing Tamar appearing to lean away from her former co-hosts alongside the caption, “when you in a room full of phony b***hes, it’s best to distance yourself,” with 13 smiley face emojis.
Tamar then commented on the fan’s photo, writing “Pretty much” alongside the nail painting emoji, which appeared to confirm that Braxton may not have the greatest relationship with her co-stars since it was announced that her contract would not be renewed for a third season.
Speculation that there was drama between Tamar and her former Real co-hosts first began after Braxton took to the photo-sharing site to confirm that she was let go from the daytime talk show by telling fans that she had been “stabbed in the back” by someone assumed to be associated with the show.
“I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters),” Braxton wrote on Instagram.
“I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch and it’s not in good taste to tell you who,” Tamar continued, “but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own.”
I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters) I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch (????) and it's not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own. But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light. Thank GOD HE HOLDS MY FUTURE AND MY HAND! (Remember who u are)….I am Tamar Braxton. And if you thought for 1 sec u played me…..In the late great prince and the amazing Beyoncé voice you PLAYED yourself???? to God be the Glory and I will be taking a short break from ALL social media…until then❤️ yourself and WATCH YOUR BACK ( I put this picture up cause this is the embrace I got from my sister and best friend that she ALWAYS gives when she knows I've been had)
Tamar’s fans were then quick to point the finger at Braxton’s now former co-hosts after Tamar’s alleged close friend, who goes by the Twitter name Him Kardashian-West, alluded to a feud with Loni Love.
TheyBF posted a number of screenshots from the account, in which the Twitter user rumored to be friends with Tamar slammed the show and Loni with several scathing tweets after Love spoke out about Braxton’s exit on social media.
“How you post pictures on Instagram but not even called? Oh. I forgot. That’s right. You did call, the network,” he tweeted, adding, “don’t front for the ‘gram, babe.”
Although the Twitter user didn’t mention Loni by name, they did later tweet out “Ain’t no LOVE over here,” after Braxton was rumored to have unfollowed Loni on social media.
You shine bright.. Keep shining.. You have been my twinkle toes, my head chef, crazy friend that makes me smile. You know I love you and your family. Your faith has made me strong, your jokes make me laugh and I know that you will continue to soar as you always do. Know that no matter what I only want and wish you the best. I am here, nothing has changed. Take the time you need but know as I have always been, I am here.
But despite the rumors of drama on the set, producers for The Real were quick to deny that any of Tamar’s former co-stars had anything to do with Braxton not being asked back in a statement issued to E! News.
“Tamar Braxton’s contract was not renewed for reasons that will remain privileged and private, and that are between her and the Studio,” a statement from The Real regarding Tamar’s departure read.
“However, we would like to make it crystal clear that Ms. Braxton’s departure from the show had nothing to do with her former co-hosts,” a spokesperson claimed. “Any suggestion to the contrary unfairly tarnishes them. As always, we wish Tamar and Vince [Herbert] all the best.”
Braxton also later appeared to deny that her post insinuated that her Real co-hosts had anything to do with her departure in another Instagram post uploaded on June 1.
“Happy. Positive. And not an ill will toward ANYONE or ANYTHING,” Tamar captioned a selfie on the social media site. “I may joke or shade (and that’s just jokes) but know in order for him to use me my HEART is pure and FULL of LOVE!”
While it’s not yet clear if Tamar’s “jokes” were in reference to one of two of her former co-hosts in particular, Adrienne Bailon shut down reports that she was feuding with Braxton on the social media site on June 5, when she confirmed that she attended Tamar’s son’s third birthday party and even told fans that she “loves” Braxton.
“Happy Birthday Logan. Titi A Loves you!” Adrienne captioned a snap showing invitations to Logan’s party. “@tamarbraxton always an epic fiesta! Love you to the moon & back!” Adrienne added, alongside the hashtag “#Familia.”
Tamar’s other former co-stars have so far stayed mum about Braxton’s firing since they each confirmed her departure on social media last month.
Do you think Tamar Braxton’s Instagram comments confirmed that there’s bad blood between her and at least some of her former Real co-stars?
