Ellen Versus The Rappers: Kanye West’s Rant And Drake’s Vampire Reaction

Ellen DeGeneres has had a thing for rappers lately, according to Billboard. The host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show invited Kanye West to talk about his recent tweets addressed to Mark Zuckerberg, as well as why he loves all his tweets so much.

Ellen DeGeneres opened her show by saying West’s wife Kim Kardashian had claimed her husband should hire a “board of directors” that would check his tweets before the “Stronger” rapper posts them.

But West didn’t think it was a good idea, explaining the he has never ever regretted a single one of his tweets. When asked by Ellen whether he ever regretted that he didn’t think twice before posting some of his previous tweets, West responded, “What’s the point of thinking?”

In fact, West admitted to Ellen that he sometimes feels like Will Smith’s character in The Pursuit of Happiness, because he has brilliant ideas that could make the human race’s life better. And that’s exactly the reason why he hit up Facebook founder Zuckerberg for $53 million, he explained to Ellen, complaining that he doesn’t have enough resources on his own.

“I have ideas that can make the human race existence within our 100 years better… period.”

When asked by Ellen what were his thoughts about the racial controversy at this year’s Oscars earlier this year, West said he didn’t take the Oscars “as a joke.”

“It was the moment like, ‘all black actors can talk about the glass ceilings we’ve dealt with out in this town. You get your night… talk about how many times you’ve been blocked from being able to excel.'”

When asked by Ellen whether he and his wife are planning more kids, West wasn’t exactly open about it. Moreover, when Ellen reminded him it was her who suggested the couple name their son Saint, West seemed to have absolutely no idea what Ellen was talking about.

In fact, West has been busy trying to use his skills of synesthesia, which allows one to “see” sound. He explained to Ellen that he is working on projects that involve sonic painting. The rapper even got in touch with the CEO of Payless Shoes and suggested that they work together on new projects.

West also admitted to Ellen that he’ll have to be the Michael Jackson of apparel to eliminate barriers. He referred to Jackson’s battle on MTV over 30 years ago. In fact, the rapper even went as far as calling himself “Wacko Kanye.” He also apologized to daytime TV for “the realness.”

In other news involving Ellen and rappers, Ellen DeGeneres made Drake feel what it is like to be a Jumpman, according to Time. The 58-year-old host scared the rapper during his guest appearance on her daytime talk show.

While promoting his new album titled Views and resting on the couch, Drake got to be a Jumpman for a moment when a man jumped out of a box at the rapper. In fact, Drake was so scared he did the so-called “vampire block” with his hands after the man jumped at him.

And although Ellen is famous for the scary prank she regularly pulls on her guests, it never gets old! The most memorable pranks she pulled off were on Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jimmy Fallon.

Here are some of Ellen’s very best scares.

But despite his shock and fright, Drake seemed pretty relaxed during the segment of Ellen’s show called “Never Have I Ever,” which also featured Jared Leto. During the game, Drake revealed he hooked up with one of his fans while touring and that he made out with a person twice his age.
