Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna Star In New Reality TV Show: Special Will Feature Baby’s Birth Amid ‘KUWTK’ Bombshell
Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are set to be featured in a new show. The couple will star in six episodes initially, with the docu-series tentatively titled Rob & Chyna, according to E News.
Every episode will showcase Kardashian and Blac, with viewers watching their romance and her pregnancy, as well as the drama that accompanies members of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan. In addition to the one-hour series, Rob and Chyna will share the birth of their first baby together on a special show.
Produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions, Rob & Chyna will debut on E! later in 2016. Kardashian and Blac will both share the role of co-executive producers as well as co-stars.
“Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna’s, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place,” gushed Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President of Original Programming & Development at E. “We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship.”
The romance of Kardashian, 29, and Chyna, 28, has been a whirlwind. At the start of April, the lovebirds revealed that they were engaged to be married. Fast forward one month, and Rob and Blac revealed her pregnancy.
Some crossover may occur between the new TV series showcasing Kardashian and Chyna and Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The latter reality show has benefited from an extra dose of drama, with characters such as Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian struggling to accept Blac initially.
“Blac Chyna and Kim are slowly rebuilding their friendship. They do hangout without Rob and talk about all different things. The family is happy to see how bright Rob is and that’s what they care about.”
In addition, the insider revealed that Kardashian and Blac are thrilled about the baby, noting that Rob is particularly protective, taking care that Chyna relaxes.
When it comes to a crossover between Keeping Up With The Kardashians and the new show featuring Rob and his pregnant girlfriend, a new report claims that Kris Jenner has finally relented and will allow Blac to star on the famous family’s reality show. Kris initially banned Rob’s pregnant fiancée from starring on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but the situation has changed, according to Radar Online.
As to why Jenner went from forbidding Blac to appear to allow her to join Rob on the show, it has to do with her son’s soon-to-be-born first child. Kardashian and Chyna will benefit from more than the TV series and special that will include her pregnancy and baby’s birth. In addition, Rob and Blac have already started comparing potential sales of the first photos of their baby.
And when Kris found out, the 60-year-old “momager” was irate, explained the insider. Consequently, Jenner compromised. Rather than allow Kardashian and Chyna to handle peddling the pictures of their baby on their own, Kris will be involved. The price that Jenner will pay? Permitting Rob’s girlfriend to star on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, revealed the source.
“In exchange for being involved in the big sale [of baby photos], Kris is letting Chyna be a part of [Keeping Up With The Kardashians].”
The bombshell news comes only after a secret session among Kris, Rob, and his girlfriend with producers just last week. In her role of momager, however, Jenner set up some rules.
“Kris will carefully control Chyna’s participation,” clarified the insider. “She can’t just do or say whatever she wants.”
The change is just part of the gradual acceptance that Rob and his girlfriend have received from his family. They went from shock and dismay at the romance, complicated by the fact that Chyna is the baby mama of Tyga (Kylie and Tyga have since split) to recognizing that Blac has become a key part of Rob’s life.
