Selena Gomez Talks Dating After Crumpling ‘Marry Justin’ Bieber Sign

If Selena Gomez wasn’t done with Justin Bieber before, she is now. Over the weekend, during one of her Revival Tour concerts in Fresno, California, Selena Gomez was caught on camera crumpling up a fan sign that read “Marry Justin Please.”

Selena Gomez and Bieber have been involved in an on and off romance for the past few years, but while a reconciliation appeared to be possible just weeks ago, Selena Gomez no longer seems open to the idea. In fact, she was said to be “infuriated” before crumpling up the fan’s sign and throwing it to the side.

Selena Gomez and Bieber were caught flirting on Instagram in March as rumors linked the “Sorry” singer to both Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Baldwin. At the time, Bieber started the flirtation by sharing a throwback photo of them kissing in a pool with the caption, “Feels.” After “liking” the Instagram photo, Selena Gomez added a comment of her own, which said, “Perfect.” Then, just days later, Bieber “liked” a throwback photo of Selena Gomez sitting at a piano in a bikini, and a short while later, she was spotted at one of his Purpose Tour shows in Los Angeles.

It was around this time when Bieber was said to have had plans to get back with Selena Gomez.

“Justin wanted to rent out the Staples Center after his concert to do a repeat date night screening of Titanic for [Selena Gomez] because he is trying to get back with her,” an insider told E! News.

However, rather than go through with his plans, Bieber, who a source claimed was “off” the entire day leading up to what was supposed to be a big night, canceled his plans entirely — and not just his plans for Selena Gomez. According to the report, Bieber canceled a meet and greet for fans, and after alluding to the fact that he was not happy to be performing while on stage, he and Selena Gomez left his show 20 minutes early.

“The speculation is that an argument had taken place between the two before the show since he cancelled the date plans,” said the source. “Something had shifted Bieber’s mood completely.”

Meanwhile, as Bieber appears to have moved on, Selena Gomez has moved on, as well, and during a new interview, she confirmed she’s been dating.

“I’ve been dating. I’ve been having the best time. But I don’t trust anybody, so dating can only be fun if I know I’m going to have fun,” Selena Gomez explained to Marie Claire on May 8.

In recent months, Selena Gomez has been linked to Niall Horan, Charlie Puth, Orlando Bloom, DJ Zedd and Samuel Krost, but it was Krost who Gomez appeared most serious about. In addition to a couple of dates last year, Selena Gomez and Krost were seen holding hands in Los Angeles in January of this year.

Whatever the case, Selena Gomez isn’t thrilled about how her love life has played out in the press and feels it has overshadowed her career at times.

“I would try to promote something that I loved, and the entire interview would be about my personal life,” Selena Gomez recalled. “I would leave a room feeling defeated, feeling embarrassed, but I would always make sure to put that smile on my face because I wasn’t going to let them get to me.”
