First Glimpse Of Chrissy Teigen’s Newborn Baby Shared On Social Media

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed their bundle of joy last week, and the couple is sharing that happiness on social media.

Teigen, who gave birth last Thursday, took to Instagram to post the first picture of her adorable baby girl on Tuesday.

In the cute snap, the first-time mom is smiling while cradling her firstborn, whom they named Luna Simone Stephens. “hi my lulu!” Teigen wrote in the caption, revealing her baby’s nickname as well.

The couple announced the arrival of their little girl on Sunday on Twitter: “Our new love is here! Luna Simone Stephens, born on Thursday, the 14th. We couldn’t be happier!” The healthy baby girl weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces, the model also revealed on social media.

According to a source, Luna’s middle name, Simone, is an homage to the late musician and civil rights activist Nina Simone, as Legend is a big fan of the singer.

“John and Chrissy are in such a joyful place with their healthy baby girl Luna,” an insider close to the famous couple shared to E! News. “They are surrounded by family and close friends. Chrissy and John can’t stop gushing over Luna. She is perfect!”

The source described the baby as a “mini Chrissy,” but they also said that she has some of Legend’s features, adding Luna looks like a baby model already. However, the couple is “not looking to get her into modeling anytime soon.”

The insider also revealed that Teigen and Legend are enjoying their time as parents adding the newborn serves as their new inspiration. Teigen faced difficulties conceiving which is why they see Luna as a blessing.

“John sings to Luna all the time. This whole experience is stirring up some new music for John. Luna is an inspiration to them both,” explains the insider.

As for sharing their baby’s photos on social media, Teigen said she is cool with it, and she understands what the social media public wants to see. “I am conscious of what people want to see and what they don’t want to see, or what they see through completely,” she told People in March.

The 30-year-old model is aware that people will naturally be curious about their life as they are public figures, which is why there is no reason to hide her baby from social media.

“We’re not going to go out of our way to hide because obviously, it’s such a big part of our lives to show everything: the inside of our homes, my parents living with us, our animals, everything,” the then-pregnant model said at the time. “I’m not going to do sneaky back shots of her or anything,” she added.

Although Teigen is okay with sharing her personal life on social media, she said there is a limit to what she can share. “You don’t want to force your kid on anyone either,” she explained “It’s important for me and John to protect some bits of us, but it’s hard to say. I didn’t think I would be the person sharing bump photos, so who knows. I could be totally wrong here.”

As for her baby Luna’s Instagram account, Teigen does not think she will be making one for her baby right away. However, as a celebrity, she understands the pressure to have an Instagram account for Luna. “You do have to think about the Instagram accounts; I remember Saint West got bought before. That stuff gets taken from you!” Chrissy Teigen candidly shared.

At any rate, we cannot deny the fact that social media loves Luna Simone already.
