Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Update: ‘Bachelor’ Stars Embrace Family Bonding, Hint At Wedding Planning Coming Soon

The Bachelor stars Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell fell in love during filming last fall and got engaged at the Season 20 final rose ceremony. The finale for their season aired about a month ago, and Ben and Lauren have been inseparable since they were able to go public with their romance. What is the latest from Higgins and Bushnell?

After a whirlwind of media appearances after the Bachelor finale, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell headed to Higgins’ hometown of Warsaw, Indiana for a bit. They celebrated his birthday, spent time with Higgins’ parents, and did some charity appearances before leaving Indiana.

Ben and Lauren headed to his current hometown of Denver, Colorado, after leaving Indiana, and Bushnell had posted on social media that she was glad to be home. While she still has a bit to do in order to be fully relocated to Colorado, it seems she has already embraced Denver as her new home. Though Lauren is originally from Portland, Oregon, before leaving to film Ben’s Bachelor season, she had been living in California.

While Ben and Lauren seemed to settle pretty nicely into Denver together, it did not take long before the Bachelor stars were on the move again for a bit. Higgins and Bushnell headed to Portland to spend some time with her family, and it looks like it was a great visit.

Lauren’s brother Bryant wasn’t in the mix of things during this visit, surely due to the fact he is a student at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles these days. However, Ben did some golfing with her dad and her other brother Brett, and it looks like everybody in the family except Bryant was together for a Portland Trail Blazers game.

It is clear that there was a lot of bonding during this trip, but it wasn’t a long visit. By the end of the weekend, Ben and Lauren were back in Denver and were hitting up another basketball game by the looks of things. This time, the Bachelor stars took in a Denver Nuggets game at the Pepsi Center.

What comes next for the Bachelor lovebirds? They are still settling into life together in Denver but during the “After the Final Rose” special they mentioned that they hoped to get married sooner rather than later. As E! News shared right after the finale, Higgins and Bushnell had discussed wanting to tie the knot late in 2016 or early in 2017. Nothing more solid than that is in place quite yet, but they have shared that once she is fully moved, they will probably start planning for their wedding.

Will Ben and Lauren truly manage to make this Bachelor relationship last and ultimately get married? They certainly seem to be doing well and fans are hopeful that this engagement will go the distance. They admit that they had to navigate some difficult moments after filming as the show aired, but they insist that they have come through those tough times stronger than ever.

The Bachelor fans would certainly say that it is a good sign that Lauren is moving to Denver so quickly to be with Ben, and both the Higgins and Bushnell families seem to adore their new additions. It will surely take a bit to see whether these two do end up heading down the aisle quickly, but show viewers are rooting for them.

Up next for the franchise is Ben’s runner-up JoJo Fletcher as she tackles the Bachelorette 2016 season. Filming is taking place now and the show debuts in late May. Can JoJo find the kind of love that it appears Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell found with one another during their Bachelor journey? Viewers are anxious to see Ben, Lauren and hopefully JoJo all join the ranks of happily-married franchise couples, but everybody will have to hang tight for now.
