Season 6 of The Walking Dead has been over for almost a week now, and season 7 won’t begin until sometime in October. That gives fans about six months to sit and contemplate and stew over who Negan beats with his barbed-wire baseball bat named Lucille. It’s likely that no cast members will spill it, but that hasn’t stopped the Internet from coming up with their own ideas. However, there is a new theory may be the best one of all, and it may reveal the truth.
Please let it be known that there are possible SPOILERS ahead for season 6, the upcoming season 7, and the comic book of The Walking Dead. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.
Many have wondered what is going to happen in the season premiere come this fall, but it’s hard to believe that a single fan actually knows. Many of the cast members have even said that they don’t know, but Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) says he knows, and it is “gut-wrenching.”
First off, if you don’t know who Negan kills in the graphic novel of “The Walking Dead,” just be aware that it is Glenn. Still, the TV series has changed things up before, so they could do it again, but will they?
Once again, there could be serious SPOILERS ahead for The Walking Dead, and if you don’t want to know what happens, then stop reading. The following theories contain some extremely detailed information that could prove to be true.
MovieWeb pointed out a couple of videos that provide extremely specific clues about Negan and what he will do with Lucille. One of the videos has already been removed from YouTube due to copyright issues, but the other is still up.
In the remaining video, the creator breaks down the creepy game of Eenie Meenie that Negan plays with the lineup of survivors. The video creator is able to figure out who is pointed out by Negan and in what order.
The order in which Negan counts is:
After that, he goes back to Rick and starts all over in reportedly the same order. While going through this order, he’s saying the little rhyme that can actually be said a couple of different ways, and in both of them, Negan ends on Glenn.
Sure, this may seem a bit simple and may not be correct, but Yahoo points out one more very simplistic thing that makes it not just seem to be Glenn, but almost confirms it. This one little thing is simplistic and so incredibly obvious that it’s hard to believe anyone missed it.
Glenn is on the far left end of the line. When Negan finishes his rhyme and stands in front of someone with Lucille, he gives instructions to others to not move or speak. While giving those last few commands, he gestures to his right which is where the rest of the line would be.
It seems right. It makes sense. It’s hard to take, but it all comes together.
Not a single bit of this is confirmed, and it is all still a theory, but it’s a really good one. With six months to work with, though, it is possible that the creators and writers of The Walking Dead could do a total 180 and change everything.
If that happens, then theories are all out the window. Remember, Negan is insane and could very well just go rogue at the last minutes and kill someone else entirely.
This is by far one of the most detailed and specific theories yet about who Negan will kill in the season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead. It is explicit, informative, and clearly very well thought out and nicely done. Not only does it give proof for the theory that Negan kills Glenn, but it breaks his choice of victim down, so it makes perfect sense. Will it be what happens? That remains to be seen, but it does seem likely.
