Blake Shelton Fails To Compare Adam Levine’s Pink Hair To Gwen Stefani’s Famous Look

Blake Shelton had to say goodbye to Gwen Stefani when The Voice Battle Rounds ended last week. However, Blake’s bromantic BFF is using his hair to make sure that the “Make Me Like You” singer is still around in spirit. Unfortunately for Adam Levine, Blake Shelton doesn’t seem to think that pink hair looks as good on his good buddy as it does on his girlfriend.

Now that The Voice Knockout Rounds have started, Gwen Stefani will no longer be appearing on the show as Blake Shelton’s adviser. Her absence likely saddened many Shefani fans, but Blake didn’t seem too heartbroken Monday night — he kept his mind off of how much he missed Gwen by poking fun at Adam Levine’s pink hair all night long. Blake mercilessly mocked Adam’s cotton candy-colored locks by comparing his hair to strawberry ice cream, Strawberry Shortcake, and a My Little Pony figurine.

“It’s hard to take you seriously with that on your head right now. Is that edible? Does it have a taste?” Blake teasingly questioned his pal.

Adam responded by asking Blake Shelton if he’s ever done anything to change his physical appearance, and the “Came Here to Forget” singer conveniently forgot the time he cut off his mullet. Instead, he said that he’s stuck with the same look for so long because his fans like him just the way he is.

“This pays really well,” Blake retorted.

As Wonderwall reports, Blake Shelton also used Twitter to poke fun at Adam Levine’s pink hair. He made another Strawberry Shortcake reference, and he also compared Adam to bubblegum-haired Pink Lady Frenchy from the movie Grease.

Blake got really creative by saying that Adam’s hair reminds him of the Squatty Potty commercials that star an ice cream-pooping unicorn. However, the Squatty Potty’s unicorn’s poo is rainbow-colored, not pink, so Blake actually took some time to edit the photo below.

Adam Levine chose to ignore Blake Shelton’s Twitter taunts, so he missed out on the perfect opportunity to point out that his pal shouldn’t be comparing other people to unicorns when he’s the one who dressed up like the mythological figure at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

As the Houston Chronicle reports, Blake Shelton previously mocked Adam Levine’s blonde hair by comparing him to pop stars Lance Bass and Miley Cyrus, who is currently starring on The Voice as the teams’ key adviser. However, Blake didn’t bring up pop stars with pink hair while poking fun at Adam’s latest look, possibly because he didn’t want to offend Gwen Stefani. As No Doubt fans know, Gwen was one of the first pop stars to rock the pretty pastel color. Adam could have pointed out that Blake’s girlfriend is a fan of pink hair, and perhaps that would have shut the country singer up for good.

Blake Shelton also compared Adam Levine’s hair to that of a troll doll, and he missed out on the perfect chance to help Gwen Stefani promote her upcoming animated movie based on the popular toys. According to Entertainment Weekly, Gwen voices a character named DJ Suki in DreamWorks’ Trolls movie, which is set to hit theaters on November 4. However, Gwen’s troll doesn’t have pink hair like the one in the photo below — DJ Suki’s poofy ponytail is orange and her skin is neon pink.

Do you think Blake Shelton was being too mean to Adam Levine, or were all of his pink hair jokes all in good fun?
