Chrissy Teigen And John Legend Sends Birthday Wishes To ‘Firstborn’ Puddy

While Chrissy Teigen and John Legend wait for the arrival of their first daughter, they haven’t forgotten about their first baby, Puddy. The celebrity couple posted photos to their respective Instagram pages that show off their 8-year-old English bulldog to their fans.

Puddy is just one of three dogs that Teigen and Legend have in their expanding family. The couple also have Pippa, a French female bulldog, and Penny, a three-legged French bulldog whom they adopted last summer.

Teigen posted an adorable photo of her, Legend, and Puddy yesterday on her Instagram. The model claimed that she and her husband are one of “those people” that consider their dogs family members as she wished Puddy a happy birthday.

Legend made sure to send his birthday shout-out to Puddy on his own Instagram account. The Grammy-winning artist uploaded a photo of Puddy sitting on the floor by himself, and added the caption, “Happy Birthday to our firstborn! Puddy’s 8 today!”

This isn’t the first time that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend featured their beloved pets to the media. Back in April 2015, Legend made a hilarious music video with Puddy and Pippa, the couple’s second dog, to promote his charity, The Show Me Campaign, as reported by People. The video showed the two dogs getting married as Legend sang one of his songs, “All of Me,” in the background. Teigen made a cameo as she caught Legend crooning to the canine newlyweds while all three of them are in formal wear.

Last October, the couple announced that they are pregnant with their first child. Two months later, Teigen revealed the sex of their baby, and stated that she wanted a girl for their first baby.

Ever since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend made their baby announcement, they have kept themselves in the news, from their fertility issue revelation to Teigen stating that she purposely picked out a baby girl during their IVF treatment.

Teigen is also active on her Twitter and Instagram accounts, and for the past several weeks, she has been showing off her baby bump, along with getting into online spats with people who criticized her. Legend made his own headlines when he got into an online spat with former schoolmate Donald Trump, Jr. after Legend called Trump, Sr. a racist.

As Teigen waits for the birth of her first child, she released a cookbook last month, titled Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat. Teigen does not consider herself a cooking expert, but she does love to eat, and wanted to share her favorite recipes to others, according to an article from Eater.

Legend is working on his fifth album, but the singer plans to take a paternity leave once his baby makes her debut into the world. Legend talked to E! News about his impending fatherhood, and how he’s looking forward to being a father.

I feel like, my mentality is just to be open and ready to help with whatever I can…and to be as loving to my wife and to our daughter as much as possible. I don’t know how you can be ready. We’re focused on getting the house ready because we just moved into a new place. But you know, you don’t really know how it’s going to go until it happens.”

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have yet to publicly reveal the name of their baby girl, although Teigen made a joke on Twitter that she is naming her baby “Chubz” when a fan asked her about potential baby names.

In the meantime, Teigen and Legend can continue caring for their furbabies and preparing their home for their new baby, which will likely be documented on their Instagram accounts.
