Emilie De Ravin Gives Birth: ‘Once Upon A Time’ Star Gives Birth To Baby ‘Belle’

Once Upon a Time actress Emilie de Ravin and boyfriend Eric Bilitch welcomed their first child Saturday night, as reported by E! Online. Emilie tweeted the news on Sunday night.

De Ravin tweeted the exciting news of her pregnancy in early October, saying, “I wanted to share some exciting news…me & @ericbilitch are expecting a baby!! ‘Tis truly a dream come true and we could not be happier.”

Bilitch responded to Emilie’s tweet with his own happy tweet, saying, “Indeed! We are over the moon with joy! Could not be more excited to be starting a family with @emiliederavin.”

Emilie shared her baby bump and her love for her unborn child with the world about three weeks ago in an Instagram post.

Thirty-four-year-old Emilie de Ravin and writer/director Eric Bilitch went public with their relationship in the summer of 2014, when they were photographed walking through Paris holding hands.

De Ravin was previously married to Josh Janowicz. According to Hollywood Life, the two dated for three years before Janowicz proposed on New Year’s Day 2005 in Melbourne, Australia. They married in Melbourne in June of the following year. Emilie and Josh separated after only six months but were able to work things out for a while. Emilie filed for divorce in 2009. They reconciled once again but divorced for good in 2014. After their divorce, it was revealed that the couple had actually wed in 2003, well before their public ceremony in 2006.

Originally from Australia, near Melbourne, Emilie studied ballet growing up. In 1999, she decided to give herself two months to seriously dedicate herself to acting. During that time, de Ravin landed her first major role in the TV series Beastmaster. In December of that year, Emilie moved to Hollywood to find an agent. She was able to do so and returned home. Shortly after returning home, de Ravin received a call for an audition with a 20th Century casting director. She moved to Los Angeles in February, and in Emilie’s first round of auditions, she landed a part as Tess Harding on the teen television series Roswell. She starred on Lost as Claire Littleton from its first season in 2004 through its last season in 2012. During her time on Lost, Emilie used her hiatuses to appear in several movies, including a role as a heroin addict in a neo-noir indie film titled Brick, the part of Brenda Carter in a remake of The Hills Have Eyes, the part of Chris Hargensen in a remake of Carrie, and in the leading actress role of Ally Craig in Remember Me.

Emilie de Ravin appeared first on Once Upon a Time as a guest star in Season 1. She became a regular on the show in Season 2 and has become a fan favorite. Emilie portrays Belle Gold, a character based on both the Disney princess in Beauty and the Beast and the character in the fairy tale by the same name. Emilie’s Belle lives in the Enchanted Forest and is Rumplestiltskin’s true love. Their relationship is a rocky one, to say the least. If de Ravin had not accepted the role of Belle, she would have joined the cast of an ABC series titled Americana. Fortunately, she did take the role of Belle, because ABC decided to pass on the pilot of Americana.

Emilie de Ravin has two older half-sisters.

Once Upon a Time is in its fifth season and has aired 114 episodes. It has been nominated for 65 awards and has won eight, including TV Guide’s Favorite New Series and Favorite Villain (for Lana Parrilla’s portrayal of the Evil Queen) in 2012.
