Yolanda Foster Is ‘Optimistic’ As She Heads For Divorce On ‘RHOBH’

Yolanda Foster may be preparing to go through a series of tough episodes, but she’s staying positive. Following a sneak peek at the remaining episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, which feature talk of Yolanda Foster’s divorce from second husband David Foster, the mother of three took to Instagram, where she revealed she was “optimistic.”

“Optimism allows us to look at the bright side of our circumstances, even when we struggle with the ignorance and doubt of the misinformed,” Yolanda Foster wrote on February 26. “We not only learn to recognize the strength deep within us but we also learn to recognize the GIFT of those equipped to give us aid.”

Days later, Yolanda Foster, whose been suffering from Lyme disease for about four years, shared a photo of the view from her post-split condo in Los Angeles, along with the caption, “Magic Californian night………. #RoomWithAView #Home #Grateful.”

Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease just months after marrying David on November 11, 2011, and in late 2014, her conditions worsened, leaving her unable to read, write, and watch television at the end of filming on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season Five. Then, after ceasing participation in her Bravo blog due to her condition, Yolanda Foster was forced to make an early exit from filming on the season five reunion at the beginning of 2015.

Because of Yolanda Foster’s early exit from the special, many assumed she would not be back for filming on Season 6, but in the summer of last year, she rejoined her co-stars, and after a breast implant removal procedure weeks later, she saw an improvement in her Lyme disease symptoms. Sadly, however, around the same time, her marriage appeared to take a turn in the opposite direction, and by December 2015, she and David had split.

“Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways,” Yolanda Foster and David said in a joint statement on December 1, 2015. “We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”

“We are grateful for the years we’ve spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best,” the statement continued. “We hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we’ve learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another.”

Prior to her marriage to David, Yolanda Foster was married to Mohamed Hadid, the father of her three children, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar Hadid, and after announcing she would be legally changing her last name back to Hadid after her divorce was final, many wondered if Yolanda Foster and Mohamed were headed for a reconciliation.

Although Yolanda Foster and Mohamed did spend the holiday season together in Aspen, they are not at all thinking of getting back together, as Mohamed is currently engaged to Shiva Safai. They are, however, remaining close friends and continue to co-parent their children to the best of their abilities.

Also remaining close to Yolanda Foster is David. Not only does the music producer live very close to Yolanda Foster in Los Angeles, he’s also been spending time with her children, and was recently spotted with Bella and Gigi in Paris.
