Woman In Black Clutching Child’s Severed Head And Shouting ‘I’m A Terrorist’ Arrested In Moscow
A woman dressed in black, brandishing a 4-year-old child’s severed head and shouting “I’m a terrorist” has been arrested and charged with murder.
Reports in Russia claims that the 39-year-old woman murdered a girl she was meant to be babysitting. The girl has since been identified only as Nastya M.
The woman then went to Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station in northwest Moscow, pulled the severed child’s head from a bag, and shouted she had killed the child, before threatening to blow herself up.
Footage of the incident shows the woman also telling those present, “The end of the world is coming in a second… I’m your death. I hate democracy. I’m a terrorist.”
She is heard shouting that she has been “cursed” and “destroyed” “so many times.”
She added, “I’m your suicide bomber… I’m going to die in a second… The end of the world.”
Dramatic CCTV footage shows a half a dozen officers swooping on the unidentified woman in black and dragging her to the ground. Police have since said that despite her threats to blow herself up, the woman had no explosives on her person.
The headless body of the woman’s victim has been found at the scene of a fire in a block of flats near the metro station.
It is thought the woman was meant to be babysitting the child and had waited for her parents to leave with their older child before she carried out the atrocities.
Eyewitness Alyona Kuratova told Russia’s Rain TV, “I came out of the shopping center and they tried to not let me through. There were a bunch of people there, running, screaming ‘bomb, bomb’.”
“I saw that a woman was walking near the Oktyabrskoye Polye metro, near the road, all in black. She had not even some kind of bundle, but a head.
“Maybe it was a child’s head, like they were whispering in the crowd. She was shouting something.”
An official spokesperson for Moscow’s Interior Ministry said, “[The suspect] had waited until the parents left with the older child, and for unknown reasons committed murder of the child, set the apartment on fire and left the scene of the crime.”
The woman has been charged with murder and is undergoing psychiatric testing.
The girl’s mother is currently in hospital after collapsing when she heard the news, according to Russia’s Zvezda TV channel.
