Blake Shelton Helps Gwen Stefani’s Sons Channel Inner Cowboys At Party & Purrs For Grumpy Cat: Gavin Rossdale MIA

Blake Shelton is the man to call if you want to really rock a children’s birthday party. Of course, the famed country crooner probably won’t be available to the average parent, but when one of his girlfriend Gwen Stefani’s sons had a birthday party, it was Blake to the rescue to help them saddle up for a great time, reported Hollywood Life.

The lovebirds made time to canoodle while still paying attention to birthday boy Apollo Rossdale, whom the singer co-parents with her ex Gavin Rossdale. Apollo turned 2, and the celebrity couple made sure that it was a birthday party to remember for all who attended.

While some men run in the opposite direction at the mere mention of a children’s birthday party, the 39-year-old country music star didn’t hesitate to help his 46-year-old sweetheart. With Blake taking on the role of leader of the pack, he made time to kiss Gwen at the cowboy-themed party.

The children had a blast, jumping on the trampoline, enjoying the petting zoo, riding horses, and prancing to the band. And the celebrities made their presence known, with Jessica Alba, Rachel Zoe, and James Corden among those getting into the Blake-inspired country mood.

But little Apollo has two parents. Where was his daddy Gavin Rossdale?

Gavin was missing at the action that occurred at Apollo’s birthday bash, according to OK! Magazine.

It may be a case of negative energy, because Gavin and Stefani reportedly split over his affair with the family’s nanny.

And it wasn’t just a one-time fling. Gavin and family nanny Mindy Mann cheated for three years without his wife knowing, putting an end to the 13-year-marriage, reported Us Weekly.

Mindy had taken care of Rossdale’s three little boys while simultaneously carrying on an affair. Kingston is 9, Zuma is 7, and Apollo just turned 2. Mann and Gavin were successful in hiding their illicit affair for all those years until another nanny found explicit texts that Rossdale and Mindy had exchanged on an iPad. Those texts featured nude photos of the nanny as well as the plans Mann and Gavin had concocted to hook up to have sex together.

“The iPad was linked to Gavin’s phone,” a source told Us. “One of the other nannies discovered the exchange and told Gwen.”

Although Mindy got fired, Rossdale claimed that it was flirty fun. However, Gavin did eventually admit that he had been carrying on an affair with Mann. That was enough for the singer, whose songs include one fittingly titled “Used to Love You,” and they unveiled their divorce plans in August.

“She was mortified, livid, and embarrassed,” said the source.

During the three-year sexual relationship that Rossdale had with Mindy, they even cheated when his wife was pregnant with Apollo.

But now it seems that after the heartbreak she experienced with Rossdale, Gwen has found a man to be trusted. Blake is proving himself to be so family-friendly that in addition to helping at Apollo’s birthday party, he’s hosting the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards.

But while all those children at Apollo’s birthday bash had a great time, Grumpy Cat is not impressed. The famous feline teamed up with Shelton to film a promo for the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards, reported Taste of Country.

Alas, some hissing was involved, even though the country crooner purred his best to impress Grumpy Cat.

Starting out on the wrong paw, Blake referred to Grumpy Cat as “Mr.” Oops.

“Oh… I’m sorry… Miss Grumpy Cat,” he apologized.

Attempting to be punny also did not work. At one point, Blake revealed he was envisioning Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson dripping with green goo.

“I mean I can picture it right meow….No purr-suasion needed here! You see what I did there?” said the self-impressed country star.

But as revealed in the video captions, Grumpy Cat still wasn’t feeling impressed enough to meow.

The Kids’ Choice Awards producers were impressed enough to choose the country crooner as host, however, marking the second time he has hosted. The award show will be broadcast March 12 on Nickelodeon, and Shelton may win as well as host, because he’s a contender in the category of Favorite Male Vocalist.
