Tom Cruise Flies To New York To Visit Suri

Tom Cruise flew to New York City to visit Suri on an overnight flight from California after wrapping on his new sci-fi film, “Oblivion.” Cruise was photographed carrying Suri outside of the Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca earlier this afternoon, according to The New York Daily News. This is reportedly Cruise’s first visit with Suri since his estranged wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce on June 28. Cruise and Suri have been talking on the phone and video chatting while he was filming in Iceland.

According to People magazine, Tom Cruise looked “very happy” carrying Suri and plans to spend several days together before he flies back to California. The source also noted Cruise will spend time with “Suri” as much as he can.

Yesterday Katie Homes had a fender-bender in her black Mercedes while going to pick-up Suri fom gymnastics classes at Chelsea Piers. No one was hurt when the garbage truck side-swiped the Mercedes.

One of Tom Cruise’s sister, Cass traveled to New York City with him to spend with her niece and help with her care, TMZ reports. The sister was captured by eager photogs as she packed gifts bags with a “menagerie of stuffed animals” as the trio made their way into the Greenwich Hotel.

A Cruise source told TMZ the actor is “sad but not bitter” about the divorce and noted he will not have any contact with Katie Holmes during his visit with Suri. Tom Cruise was reportedly inside Katie Holmes’ apartment for less than five minutes. According to TMZ, Suri will be transported between her parents via “intermediaries.”

A source speaking with People magazine noted both Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes acknowledge Suri loves both her parents and are committed to making decisions together about their daughter for “many, many years.”
