?Susan Sarandon’s ?Cleavage At Screen Actors Guild Award? Captivates Twitter, Black Actors Win Big At 2016 SAG Awards

Actress ?Susan Sarandon arrived at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night ready to enjoy the festivities. Twitter, meanwhile, shamed her and blew up over her outfit choice. Sarandon, 69, wore a white double-breasted tuxedo suit with a black bra underneath, which caused some to shame the actress on social media, with others making jokes rather than commenting on the SAG Awards 2016. Susan Sarandon’s cleavage seemed to have stolen the show.

Delivering the night’s In Memoriam tribute, Susan stood on stage with her cleavage-exposed outfit in full view for everyone at the SAG Awards as well as viewers at home to see. While she was saying beautiful words about the late David Bowie who recently just passed, Twitter could comment on nothing except Susan Sarandon’s cleavage, reports Us Weekly.

It certainly seems as if Susan Sarandon left little to the imagination at the Screen Actors Guild Awards last night, but the actress nonetheless seemed to be enjoying herself all throughout the night. The 2016 SAG Awards offered more fun moments with the actress, as she photobombed a picture with the cast of Straight Outta Compton. Cast members Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Neil Brown Jr., Aldis Hodge, and O’Shea Jackson Jr. posed for the picture with Susan Sarandon popping up in the back making a funny face, much like actor Benedict Cumberbatch did at the Oscars. Straight Outta Compton was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, along with The Big Short, Beasts of No Nation, Trumbo, and Spotlight.

Susan Sarandon appearing at the back of this photo was, incidentally, somewhat of a metaphor for the entire evening. As the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is dealing with a whole host of backlash for ignoring actors and actresses of color in their Oscar nominations for the second year in a row, black actors won big at the 2016 SAG Awards.

Diversity in Hollywood was made fully aware to everyone that night, with Orange Is the New Black actress Laura Prepon saying, “Look at this stage, this is what we talk about when we talk about diversity.”

Idris Elba won two SAG Awards, for the Netflix film Beasts of No Nation and BBC America’s TV crime drama Luther. Queen Latifah won for playing blues singer Bessie Smith in HBO’s Bessie, Viola Davis won for her lead role on Shonda Rhimes’ How to Get Away With Murder, and actress Uzo Aduba won for her role in the original Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.

“This is what happens when you have the SAG group — a group of very diverse people who understand the work that we all put in and that we all deserve the same opportunities,” Queen Latifah told the Los Angeles Times backstage. “That’s about it. I feel very positive about this day.”

“It’s amazing to see actors have the opportunity to celebrate other actors’ work and to feel empowered by the voting process so they can see whatever actor they want reflected up there,” Aduba added backstage. “And I’m honored to have been chosen by my peers.”

Davis, while backstage, said, “And they won because their performances were effective. They won because the actors have craft, they have a level of excellence that reaches people — and we’re actors too. We’re artists, too, we deserve to be a part of it and I think you saw that tonight.”
