Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Heading For Ruin? Jolie Says Filming With Hubby Was ‘Dangerous’
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been a Hollywood “it” couple for a decade now, yet this has not stopped speculation that the two are headed for a divorce. Most recently, rumors have been sparked by an apparent source who claims to have the inside scoop about Brad and Angelina’s relationship. Movie News Guide relays the words of the source who spoke with In Touch on the issue.
“[Brad’s] ready to move on to the second phase of his life — and that no longer includes Angelina.”
The celebrity news source also shares about Brad’s intentions as to when he will begin the divorce proceedings.
“As reported by In Touch Weekly, Pitt is planning to file the paperwork as soon as February. By that time, he will be filming in Los Angeles while Jolie will be in Cambodia to helm ‘First They Killed My Father’.”
The publication states that the couple will remain civil for the sake of their crew of children, Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 9, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 7. The insider also adds that the older of the children are not surprised that their parents are taking the steps toward divorce, as it’s been something that has seemed inevitable for some time.
Reasons for what brought on the issues that have resulted in a possible divorce include the latest movie the two starred in together, By the Sea. The film was written and directed by Jolie and reportedly involved some very heavy scenes that put a bit of a strain on Brad and Angie’s relationship while filming, as they portray a couple in the middle of troublesome times.
Jolie confessed the imperfect state of her relationship with Brad during an interview with Vogue.
“Brad and I have our issues. but if the characters’ were even remotely close to our problems we couldn’t have made the film.”
Jolie also described the process of filming with her husband on this particular project “dangerous.”
Hollywood Life also notes words of a source highlighting certain aspects of the couple’s marriage that have pushed Brad to his limits.
“Angie has some serious dark demons that have never entirely let go and it is still affecting her life and marriage. Her wild lifestyle when she was younger and her intense surgeries to avoid getting breast and ovarian cancer have taken a toll on her as a person and a life partner. Some of her issues force her to retreat into isolation and pull away from Brad and the kids. It is impossible to be entirely free from who she once was. Angie tries to be a good mom and wife but it is difficult with her personal problems and she struggles. Brad was initially attracted to her dark side, but when she goes to this dark place she definitely pushes Brad away. It can be really hard on him. He feels he has been more than patient with Angie, but his confidence in their happiness is wearing thin.”
Additionally, there have been reports that the couple’s issues truly came to a head while vacationing in Thailand on New Year’s Eve. The pricey vacation, which had a price tag of $1 million, only involved more troubles for the couple that resulted in a ruined vacay, as Radar Online shared.
“Brad was hoping the whole family could bond, but that didn’t work out either. Despite a luxurious holiday that cost $1 million, Brad and Angie are worse off than ever. The vacation solidified the belief that their marriage is beyond repair. A divorce is definitely coming this year.”
