‘The Bachelor’ Spoilers: Did The Twins’ Mom Influence Ben Higgins’ Decision? Which One Was Left Behind?

It was a jam-packed night full of tears, difficult decisions, and also a little weirdness mixed in on week four of The Bachelor. Ben Higgins and the remaining women were in Las Vegas on Monday, and things got quite emotional for them. The focus on the reality show last night was on the identical twins with one of them being left behind with a broken heart. Did their mother have anything to do with the decision on which girl to keep?

Twins Haley and Emily Ferguson have been competing with each other for Ben’s affections. This was the first time in Bachelor history that a set of twins made it on the show. It was only a matter of time before they would end up being separated. Last night one of them got sent home, sort of.

It is hard to send someone packing when you eliminate them in their own home. According to a recap by USA Today, that is what happened when Ben decided to take both girls on a two-on-one date to get to know each of them a little better. Vegas just happen to be the twins’ hometown, and so The Bachelor chose to take them to their house. This was not a typical romantic date when it consists of not only your sister, but also your mom and a few dachshunds running around.

Ben was serious on making a decision on which twin he wanted to keep around, and decided that talking to their mom would help give him some clarity. They sat down to discuss the girls and mom told Higgins that Emily was the more dominant twin, while it takes Haley a bit longer to get to know someone. It looks like The Bachelor likes a more dominant lady, because he ended up choosing Emily to go back with him and kept her sister at home with mom.

Some people on social media thought that their mother might have deliberately influenced Ben in his decision making last night and that she wanted him to side with keeping Emily and not Haley. However, Haley said in an interview with ABC that she didn’t think that was the case at all.

“I don’t think that is true at all. She was just describing our true personalities. I really respect Ben’s decision before any deeper feeling started to develop and it got really awkward between my sister and I.”

Haley also said it was really hard to watch her sister cry when she watched last night’s episode. Of course, there was not only crying, but Emily was also kissing Ben in the limo on the way back. Haley doesn’t seem to harbor any hard feelings about getting the boot. She and her twin are very close and she said that she was very happy that her sis is still in the running to be the future Mrs. Ben Higgins.

Haley was not the only one who will not be coming back next week. At the Bachelor rose ceremony in Vegas, Amber and Rachel went home empty-handed. Amber seemed to take it the hardest and left crying her eyes out.

Of course, Olivia was also in the forefront of The Bachelor with her crazy antics and her very uncomfortable talent show on the Vegas stage. This brought on a panic attack after her show, and she quickly went to apologize multiple times to Ben for “not being herself.”

Next week’s previews for The Bachelor show that Ben may finally get a clue as to how the other girls feel about Olivia and all of the craziness that has been going on with her. Ben Higgins is pretty sure that he is going to find his wife on this season of The Bachelor. Do you agree?

Do you think that Emily Ferguson has a chance to become his wife?
