Unleashing Mr. Darcy Hallmark movie synopsis
Hallmark’s Unleashing Mr. Darcy follows the beautiful Elizabeth Scott— a feisty teacher who is looking to re-direct her life, since she has temporarily lost her teaching job over a dispute with the school administration. Entering her beloved dog, Bliss, into a prestigious dog competition seems like just the right activity to keep her distracted. What she doesn’t count on is bumping heads with a handsome but arrogant male judge named Donovan Darcy who happens to be a snobby billionaire who knows his stuff when it comes to dog breeding.
Like two bullhorns ramming against each other, Elizabeth and Darcy just can’t seem to get along, which seems to be the perfect formula for disaster. However, it won’t take long before Mr. Darcy actually decides that he doesn’t want to put a muzzle on Elizabeth. Instead, he’s quite turned on by her irritable personality. After observing Darcy’s flirtations, she starts to see Donovan Darcy in a different light, as he transforms from a snooty money-making dog breeder to the Prince Charming that she’s been long awaiting.

The movie, Unleashing Mr. Darcy, definitely makes you think about the strong connection that dog owners have with their pets, and there is a reason for that connection, according to a scientific study that was published at Health. It seems that when an owner looks into his dog’s eyes, they get the same warm and cozy feeling that a new parent would experience upon looking into the eyes of their newborn. Also, just like in the movie, there are many dog owners who enjoy entering their pets in dog competitions around the world.
The Hallmark Channel is good about making television movies that really connect with the audience on an emotional level. For every season, Hallmark gives us a reason to tune in on a weekly basis. Some other classic dog lover movies include, 1989’s Turner & Hooch, 1992’s Beethoven, and 2009’s My Dog Tulip.
