‘Mob Wives’: Brittany Fogarty, Marissa Fiore — Who Are They?

Mob Wives Season 6 is going to air its final season on VH1. As fans get ready to watch the premiere episode on television, the premiere party for the cast is sure to be a blast, maybe for all except model Brittany Fogarty, according to NY Daily News. Apparently, she has decided that she will not be attending the Mob Wives premiere party, due to the fact that she will not be getting paid for her appearance. If there were going to be cameras present, things may have been different.

“Brittany (Fogarty) isn’t going,” an insider with NY Daily News claims. “She really thinks of most of the others as nasty, bitter old ladies. Why subject yourself to that for no reason?”

Brittany Fogarty, apparently, has parents who were both heavily affiliated with the mob. Her VH1 bio states that her mom used to hold underground card games for various mob families in New York. She wrote a book about those experiences, Divorced from the Mob: My Journey from Organized Crime to Independent Woman. Brittany’s father knew Sammy “The Bull” Gravano and was a part of his “muscle crew,” which is how Karen, Gravano’s daughter, knows Brittany. It all sounds perfect for Mob Wives.

“I don’t think that as a young child you really understand what it means to murder someone, so as I got older and as I was a teenager, and as these things were becoming more real for me, I think I took my anger out on my father,” Fogarty, 25, said in an interview with Bikini.com. “I pushed him away, I didn’t understand.”

Marissa Fiore is a new addition in this season of Mob Wives, and it’s safe to assume that she will leave quite an impression on the audience, as well as the rest of the cast. Marissa’s boyfriend, Oz, has some history with members of the Mob Wives cast, having grown up near Drita D’Avanzo, Renee Grazino, and their families. Oz recently got out of prison, having served five years, and Fiore couldn’t be more proud of him.

“OZ took his bid like a man,” said Marissa, according to her bio on VH1. “He kept his mouth shut and stayed loyal – that’s what I love about him.”

Mob Wives‘ newest cast member is also a mother. Her son, Jaiden, is 7 years old and from a previous relationship, and she has been raising him all on her own. Apparently, the father has not been by her side to raise Jaiden at all. If nothing else, she is definitely a strong-willed woman and mother, and she’s gotten plenty of help from her mother.

Mob Wives returns to Staten Island this season, after previously being in Philadelphia and Chicago. This move means good news for Marissa, since she grew up in Staten Island.

Marissa Fiore is also a model and her Instagram page is filled with incredible pictures of the Mob Wives newcomer. But while looking at her, she may appear to be a familiar face. Fiore, surprisingly, has appeared on television shows like Law & Order, Gossip Girl, and The Good Wife. In addition, she’s been in films such as Will Ferrell’s Elf. Maybe Marissa will head to Hollywood once Mob Wives has run its course.

It’s safe to assume that Brittany Fogarty and Marissa Fiore aren’t going to be getting along.

Mob Wives Season 6 premieres tonight, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. on VH1. On tonight’s episode, the VH1 synopsis states, “in the Season 6 premiere, the original Staten Island crew is finally at peace after sending the ladies from Philly packing. Later, a new woman shows up and forces the group to face some difficult decisions.”
