Louis Tomlinson To Raise Funds For Another Children’s Charity?

One Direction star Louis Tomlinson is renowned for his generosity, especially when it comes to children’s charities. Tomlinson is the patron of a number of charities and seems to have a special interest in those that raise funds to support kids with serious and terminal illnesses. In recent weeks we have seen a host of negative and sensationalized stories about Tomlinson, and all too often these are allowed to overshadow the amazing work that 24-year-old Louis does for sick children and their families.

It was widely reported in August that Louis had taken time out from One Direction’s world tour to host a huge Cinderella-themed charity ball in aid of “Believe In Magic.” The Mirror reported that Tomlinson donated an incredible $3 million of his own cash to the charity. Louis also engaged the help of bandmate Liam Payne to ensure the evening was a huge success. It is believed that with Louis’ help, the event raised some $7.5 million for the charity.

As was reported in Inquisitr last month, Louis stepped up to the plate again to support the charity when he fronted the 1D Best Christmas Ever campaign. By making a donation to Believe In Magic, fans were offered the opportunity to meet Louis and his bandmates in London. Louis and One Direction are ambassadors for the charity which aims to provide a little magic to bring a smile to the face of terminally ill children.

Tomlinson’s fans are quick to support charitable efforts by the band. Louis is a patron of the Eden Dora Trust, a charity that raises funds to support children with Encephalitis or acquired brain injury. A group of fans, known as 1D Fans Give, organized a fundraising effort in honor of Louis’ birthday on December 24. These incredible fans set out to raise $24,000 and, to date, the sum raised is almost $29,000. The same group has raised almost $170,000 in total for causes close to the hearts of the various members of One Direction.

Of course these generous fans do not rest on their laurels; they already have campaigns running in honor of Harry Styles on February 1. That campaign is already within sight of its $22,000 target. A similar campaign, in the name of former One Direction star Zayn Malik’s birthday on January 12, is also nearing its $10,000 target.

It seems that generous fans may have another of Tomlinson’s favorite charities to support very soon. It seems that a charity called Niahm’s Next Step is about to announce that Louis, and his mother Johanna Deakin, are about to join the charities fundraising efforts.

Earlier today, the charity which supports children with an aggressive form of cancer called Neuroblastoma made a post on its Twitter account suggesting that they will be releasing exciting news from Louis and his mom very soon. It would seem that Tomlinson is about to throw his weight behind another children’s charity.

While any charity would be delighted to have Tomlinson involved to help raise awareness, it is clear that Louis does much more. Earlier this week it was reported in Inquisitr that Louis’ mom had spoken out on Twitter about the work that Louis does behind the scenes. Johannah revealed that Louis spends time researching the things that sick children like so that he can give them a small personal gift.

The series of tweets revealed that Louis has done hundreds of these small acts of kindness over the past five years, without fanfare or seeking publicity. It seems that a whole new group of children are about to benefit from Louis Tomlinson’s generosity.
