‘The Bachelor’ 2016: Were Ben Higgins And Becca Tilley Involved Before The Show?

It is time for a new season of The Bachelor, and Ben Higgins is the one searching for love. Some viewers will be shocked to see Becca Tilley joining the show and trying to find love once again. Everyone will be curious if Ben and Becca were talking before the show, and Bustle was able to uncover the truth. Last season, Kaitlyn Bristowe had Nick Viall join the show, and these two had been talking before it started. They actually knew each other pretty well and already knew that they had chemistry. Are Ben and Becca the same way?

Amber James and Becca Tilley are both from past seasons and will be showing up tonight. Amber won’t stick around nearly as long as Becca, though. Becca and Ben actually talked before she came on the show, but it was very brief. They did not have a huge relationship where they were texting all the time like Nick and Kaitlyn did. Actually, it sounds like Becca and Ben’s relationship was so small that it won’t help or hurt her chances on the show.

Reality Steve actually revealed that Ben Higgins told Becca Tilley not to come on the show at all. Because of this, Steve shared early on that he was sure that Becca would not be the one that Ben picked in the end. Steve shared that Ben didn’t want the girls who were on Chris Soules’ season and wanted his own girls. Of course, ABC didn’t listen to him and brought back Becca and Amber anyway. They know that the viewers love drama, and Becca was also a fan favorite. Bringing her on the show can only help the ratings.

Steve wouldn’t share who his source was but insists that Ben didn’t want Becca there. More than likely, this will not be talked about on the show. There is no reason for Becca and Ben to reveal this to viewers. Ben will act excited to see her, and spoilers reveal she will even stick around for a while, so don’t expect Ben to send her home tonight. Becca is going to at least get a rose from Ben on night one. If you don’t remember Becca, check her out with Chris Soules here.

Ben Higgins actually shared that he didn’t know much about Becca or Amber before the show started. Ben didn’t watch Chris Soules season of the show. Ben said that he was shocked and “really appreciative” that they wanted to be on the show for him. Higgins actually avoided watching Chris Soules show partially because he knew this could happen. Here is what Ben had to say about it.

“I wanted to go in with kind of a clear mind and not have a lot of preconceptions about who people were.”

The truth of the matter is that Ben and Becca are going to be getting to know each other on this season of The Bachelor. No matter how much they have talked to each other, that doesn’t mean she is an automatic winner. It didn’t work out for Nick Viall with Kaitlyn Bristowe. Even if Ben didn’t want her on the show, Becca is there, and they will make the best of it. ABC clearly puts whoever they want on the show, and Becca was someone they wanted this season.

Do you think that Becca Tilley will win the heart of Ben Higgins in the end? Sound off in the comments below on your thoughts, and don’t miss The Bachelor 2016 when it airs on Monday nights on ABC.
