Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Laments California Murders While Bill O’Reilly Blames Obama For Being ‘Soft’ On Terrorism

The terrorist attacks that took place in San Bernardino, CA, have given fuel to right-wing talk show hosts such as Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly on Fox News. Megyn Kelly began her show on Thursday night very emotionally.

“They were starting out with business in the morning, transitioning to a Christmas Party. There was a Christmas tree inside the room. Christmas trees on all of the tables. They were trying to have a celebration. Of Christmas. Instead, 23 days before Christmas, 14 of them would die,” Kelly said, almost with tears forming in her eyes.

She then quoted an unidentified man from a video.

“Thank you. Thank you. I’ll take a bullet before you do, that’s for damn sure. Just be cool, okay?” he could be heard telling an obviously frightened woman.

Kelly then talked about how the crime certainly wasn’t spontaneous and had been planned for months.

“Police have also revealed that this crime was anything but spontaneous. Saying the killers had a huge assortment of weapons and a virtual bomb factory at their homes.”

Megyn Kelly had Maajid Nawaz, a former Islamic extremist, speak on her show. He indicated that many of the people who commit terrorist attacks are integrated into the countries where they commit crimes. He also said that many terrorists aren’t really open about their religious extremism, so we can’t really profile people by their religious affiliations. His statements were very eye-opening.

On Thursday evening, Bill O’Reilly also began his show by talking about the carnage.

“The death toll remains at 14 with 21 wounded after two Muslim extremists attacked a public facility in San Bernardino, California. Yesterday 28-year-old Syed Farook and his 27-year-old wife Tashfeen Malik left their six-month-old daughter with a relative and embarked on a day of murder,” O’Reilly said.

After talking about the murderers and their ties with ISIS, Bill O’Reilly had some harsh words for President Obama.

“Once again the terror spotlight is on President Obama, who has been soft on fighting the jihad and has angered many Americans almost beyond description. Critical mass has been reached.”

Later in his show, Mr. O’Reilly said that even after the attack in California, Obama insists that terrorism is under control. Then, former Bush aide Dana Perino spoke.

“I understand the president’s desire to express confidence, but he doesn’t ever seem to hedge even a little bit. Even now the government is reluctant to call this terrorism and the president wants to stick by his comments that ISIS is the jayvee team.”

Breitbart indicates that the White House still refuses to call the attacks on California terrorism. They say that the Obama administration is citing the ongoing investigation by the FBI before they define the event. Press Secretary Josh Earnest was careful with his words.

“I don’t want to talk about the situation because there’s still an ongoing investigation to determine exactly what transpired and what motivated those individuals to take the terrible indefensible violent action that they took,” Earnest said.

It’s quite possible that Bill O’Reilly and others are jumping on the anti-Obama bandwagon a little too early. Once all the information is in, President Obama may speak more specifically about terrorism. We don’t know what is going on behind the scenes. However, like Bill O’Reilly, many Americans are heartbroken and want to be sure their president is doing the right thing.
