WWE News: WWE Seriously Considering Having Dean Ambrose Win WWE World Title At ‘Survivor Series’

WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose has clearly become one of the most popular stars in the WWE today. What he has been able to accomplish in such a short period of time is impressive; however, his list is not nearly as great as that of his former Shield brethren, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Reigns has held tag gold in his career as well as main evented a WrestleMania. Meanwhile, Seth was in that same main event, won MITB, has a Tag Team, US, and WWE World Title to his credit. This not including his developmental titles.

Clearly, Dean is behind them both when it comes to title success. However, Dean does have one of the longest WWE United States Title reigns in company history. He has been in several WrestleMania matches. but he has yet to have the same type of main event opportunities. Even when he does, he routinely loses. It is time to push Ambrose now more than ever in a time where he has the opportunity to truly become a game-changer for WWE. Most feel that Ambrose has been ready for some time now, and some of those people hold a lot of power in WWE.

According to PWInsider, there is a lot of talk regarding Dean Ambrose and the WWE World Heavyweight Title. The plan that is said to be pretty concrete is Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns in the finals of the World Title Tournament this Sunday at WWE Survivor Series. The plan that is getting a lot of talk is regarding Ambrose walking away as champion. In fact, many people with power are heavily considering it. So much so that apparently they are going back and forth on the idea in creative.

The plan for some time has been for Roman Reigns to win the title and go into WrestleMania 31 with the gold around his waist regardless of what kind of character, good or bad, he happened to be.

Clearly, WWE is pushing for Reigns to be a good guy, but with the ever-growing need of a top heel becoming apparent on the roster, there is said to be a lot of talk of Ambrose turning as soon as this weekend and finding a way to cheat his way to the title win over his best friend in Reigns. There is also talk of him joining The Authority, now that Seth Rollins is out of the picture as well as Kane and others who helped to put him down last year at this same time.

Of course, none of that truly matters as people like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin joined the Corporation despite the fact that Vince McMahon was a major thorn in his side for some time as well as he was for McMahon. Ambrose was becoming very Stone Cold-like last year and even earlier this year. The problem was that WWE didn’t capitalize on it. They simply built him only to lose in top matches. The thought among many is that if he were a heel, WWE creative could get away with more for his character.

It has become clear that WWE will never allow Dean Ambrose to be the face of the company no matter how popular he gets. However, he could be like Randy Orton and Edge and be mostly a career heel and remain at the top of the card in high-profile matches and rivalries for the majority of his career. This would even include top WrestleMania matches. So the downside to not being the top face and becoming the top heel still has its rewards. The top face still needs someone to work with at the end of the day, of course.

Many fans do not want to see Dean Ambrose turn and would rather see someone like Reigns go to the dark side. This is mostly because Ambrose is popular and would be cheered heel or not. Meanwhile, Reigns needs the heel turn to make his character interesting and would certainly get the boos WWE would like for him to get. To add more of a twist to this, Triple H has spoken to every member of the final four men for a spot in The Authority. He has been either turned down flat by those like Reigns or given no clear answer to a possible addition. The one man left out was Dean Ambrose. Normal WWE writing tells us that was for a reason. Think about it.
