WWE News: WWE Now Being Forced To Push Dean Ambrose Due To John Cena Taking Time Off

WWE superstar Dean Ambrose has been massively popular ever since he came to the WWE years ago. The moment he signed on with WWE to be part of the developmental roster, everyone knew that this man was going to be a huge star. All he needed was for WWE to give him the ball and let him run with it. Once he, along with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, arrived on the main roster under The Shield gimmick, fans knew all three were going to be a big part of the company for the next decade.

WWE gave all three big time billing together for nearly two years before deciding to split them up. Seth Rollins would get used right away by WWE and was used as The Authority’s pick for the future of the company. He would win Money in the Bank, where he could cash-in and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at any moment.

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns went on to win the 2015 Royal Rumble and he ended up main eventing WrestleMania 31 with Brock Lesnar for Lesnar’s WWE World Heavyweight Title. Of course, Rollins as we know was thrown into the main event last minute, won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and has held it since.

Throughout all of this, Dean Ambrose was pushed with Rollins early on but WWE always put over Rollins and never him. Soon after, they had him help out Bray Wyatt and the two would fight and fight until Wyatt ended up the ultimate victor. He would then be thrown into a multi-man ladder match at WrestleMania 31 for the Intercontinental Championship, where he did not win.

When WWE gave Ambrose a chance over the summer of this past year, he did well and put on fantastic matches whenever given the chance. He was even a heartbeat away, not once but twice, from winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title. WWE fans have wanted Ambrose to get pushed for some time now, and not just be thrown into a main event here and there. It finally looks like fans might get their wish.

According to The Wrestling Observer, John Cena will take time off from WWE very soon. He was on WWE RAW tonight, where he faced Big E for his WWE United States Championship. It is uncertain what WWE plans to do with the title while Cena is out, but we might know something by next week. Due to Cena taking time off, WWE is forced to put a top babyface in his spot that fans want to see more of.

Many wonder if WWE would chose others over Ambrose, like Cesaro or Randy Orton. Sadly, Cesaro is said to be in the doghouse and the thought is that Randy Orton has been used too often and has become stale.

This leaves Dean Ambrose as the obvious choice for WWE to use to replace Cena for a small period of time, which might give him the chance to show the company and the fans what he has. If he does well, it could be a permanent thing.

The Observer claims that Ambrose will be used in Cena’s role so much so that he will be main eventing or doing major storylines with WWE in the spot that John Cena would normally be in. That means he very well could be thrown into the WWE World Title hunt again, but this time he may walk out with the gold. WWE is planning for Kane to take on Seth Rollins at WWE Hell in a Cell in a few weeks for the championship. It is doubtful Kane wins.

That means WWE Survivor Series needs a top match. With Cena set to be out until early December at the earliest, Ambrose may very well main event one of WWE’s biggest events of the year. Since fans want to see it, WWE is apparently believing that fans will be invested in whatever they do with Ambrose during this time period.

This is the very reason why WWE did not throw him into another tag match with Roman Reigns at WWE Hell in a Cell as many first thought would happen. There is a big chance that he has a major singles match at Hell in a Cell, which will sort of throw him into a big match at Survivor Series. What the match is right now is currently up in the air.

While it is idiotic to think that WWE is now only pushing Ambrose because they are being forced to do so, fans will at least get their wish. There is a thought that if ratings stay the same or go up during the time Ambrose is used in a major way, the company might end up believing in Dean Ambrose more and giving him bigger opportunities. Of course, we have to wait and see if that happens as it is certainly not a guarantee this time of year.
