Kailyn Lowry On Leah Messer Losing Custody: ‘I Feel Like It’s A Touchy Subject’
Kailyn Lowry has been busy taking care of her family, including her two sons and her husband. On Teen Mom, Kailyn revealed that they did have some marital troubles and she was struggling to fix their issues. These days, Lowry and Javi Marroquin appear to be doing well, and it sounds like she wants the best for her co-stars. So Lowry was shocked when her co-star, Leah Messer, suddenly lost custody of her twin girls.
Of course, Kailyn Lowry tries to stay in touch with her co-stars, but she admitted that she only texts Leah once in a while. And one can hope that Leah’s Teen Mom co-stars reached out to her after she lost custody of her twins. Now, Lowry is speaking out about the situation but admits that it is awkward to talk about since it is a touchy situation.
According to a new Radar Online report, Kailyn Lowry is now revealing that she thought that Leah did the right thing going to treatment, as she needs to focus on herself as a mother first. Many thought that Messer was selfish in going to rehab, but Kailyn understands why she decided to go and focus on herself first.

“I think taking care of yourself as a person and a mother first is always important,” Lowry revealed to the website, adding, “And if she has to go through some bumps in the road to get into a healthy place, then nobody should knock her for it.”
Back in October, Leah lost custody of her twins to her ex-husband, Corey Simms. Corey would take care of the girls during the week so they could get to school on time, and Messer would get them on the weekends. And Corey may enjoy that situation these days, as he recently became a father again.
Kailyn Lowry admits that she hasn’t spoken to Leah in weeks, but she is giving her full support when it comes to her life. Lowry did admit that she still talks to Jeremy Calvert, Leah’s second ex-husband. He filed for divorce when she was about to go to rehab, and he told her co-stars that there was nothing she could do to change his mind. He was leaving her behind.
“I want to stay out of that as much as possible because I feel like it’s such a touchy subject and I don’t want to step on any toes or anything,” Kailyn Lowry revealed of the situation, adding, “We just talk more of like work and stuff like that and the kids. I wish them the best and just patience.”
It sounds like Lowry is a little concerned about her co-star but has enough confidence that she will get better. Just this week, reports surfaced that Messer could be very sad about the entire situation. Some outlets used the word “suicidal” even though she is still a mother to little Adalynn.

“Leah seems deeply depressed, and everyone is very concerned,” a family insider has revealed about Leah after losing custody of her twins, according to Radar Online, adding, “She can’t imagine life without her girls.”
“It’s obvious that she has struggled with pills, but she refuses to talk about it,” the source adds, revealing, “If she won’t be honest, how is she ever going to truly get better?”
Leah has denied that she is suicidal, but one can hope that co-star Kailyn Lowry would be there for her if she needed someone to talk to.
