Karrueche Tran Not Dating After Chris Brown Break Up? Model Not ‘Mentally’ Ready To Move On
Karrueche Tran may have abruptly ended her relationship to Chris Brown earlier this year after learning that Brown had fathered a child with another woman, but it looks like Karrueche is still struggling to move on from Chris despite the circumstances surrounding their shocking split.
In March, Karrueche Tran took to Twitter to declare her newly single status after learning that Chris Brown fathered a baby girl with model Nia Guzman.
While Karrueche admitted to fans that she had no time for Brown’s “baby drama,” Tran has been struggling to distance herself from Chris Brown and their tumultuous relationship due to the constant attention surrounding their breakup.
In a new interview with Kontrol Magazine, Karrueche opens up about how she’s coping with the constant media attention following her split from Chris Brown and admits that while it’s been almost a year since she and Brown parted ways, Karrueche is still unsure if she’s ready to start dating again.

Speaking on the nature of her high profile relationship with Chris Brown, Karrueche admits that she used to “shy away” from the media in the beginning of her relationship with Chris because she didn’t know how to “control it.”
“I wasn’t used to it. I would be in the way back or go way ahead. Now I’m kind of used to it.”
Similarly, Karrueche recognizes that people are “intimidated” by her former relationship with Chris Brown, admitting that the constant criticism she receives from having dated Chris Brown has left her “very guarded and very to myself.”
“I think people are intimidated by the drama [from my past relationship] and not wanting to deal with it because it’s an ongoing story.”
While Karrueche has previously opened up about how her romance with Brown has hurt her career, Tran also suggests that her history with Chris is having an impact on her love life as well.
“I haven’t really explored dating yet and I’m not sure if I’m mentally there just because of all the stuff that I’ve been through. It’s a lot to open up to somebody.”
Despite Karrueche’s insistence that she hasn’t opened up to the idea of dating just yet, sources close to Karrueche have accused Chris Brown of not allowing Tran to move on from their relationship by harassing anyone that shows a romantic interest in Karrueche.

Earlier this year, Chris Brown and Tyson Beckford made headlines for their heated feud after Beckford shared a photo of himself hanging out with Karrueche Tran in Las Vegas.
While both Karrueche and Tyson vehemently denied the dating rumors, Chris Brown and his close friends took to Instagram to threaten physical violence against Tyson for cozying up to Tran, prompting Beckford to answer with some heated threats of his own.
While both Chris Brown and Tyson Beckford settled their dispute over Tran, albeit with Beckford admitting that he and Brown will never be “cool,” Tran spoke out against Chris’ behavior by insisting that she’s still single and that she wishes Chris Brown would “move on” from their relationship, TMZ reports.
“I don’t get it because I’m single. I thought we have all matured and moved on. Especially since Chris has been seen with multiple women since the breakup.”
Despite Karrueche’s claims, Chris Brown has spoken out against the new relationship rumors by insisting that he is single and is focusing on raising his daughter, Royalty.
Brown even made a point to shut down rumors that suggest he and baby mama Nia Guzman are dating after announcing last week that they have plans to co-parent their daughter together.
Meanwhile, Karrueche admits that she’s focusing on further developing her budding acting career, most recently taking on the role of Vanessa Ivy in the StyleHaul produced web series, Vanity.
