Jessa Seewald Bares Baby Bump As Duggars Hope Pregnancy TV Special Solves Financial Woes, But Is Jim Bob Jealous?
Jessa Duggar Seewald is baring the latest photo of her baby bump as she and her husband Ben Seewald await their first child. With the baby due on November 1, Jessa is on baby watch and Seewald shared her dwindling patience on social media, reported E! News.
In addition, Jessa indicated that she’s been looking for ways to jump-start labor. The popular Duggar daughter asked about pineapple as a pick-me-up.
“So has anyone else tried the ‘eating an entire fresh pineapple’ thing for helping to bring on labor,” asked the star of 19 Kids And Counting. “Apparently it doesn’t work for everyone, ’cause I ate the whole thing yesterday… and still no signs of labor! Guess #BabySeewald still wants to camp out in there a little longer! Patience, Mama, patience.”
Jessa and her sister, Jill Duggar Dillard, are set to star in a reboot of 19 Kids And Counting called, Jill & Jessa: Counting On. The first episode will air on TLC in December.
When Jessa and Ben Seewald have their first baby, her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will welcome their sixth grandchild. The couple allegedly have been stunned in recent months by the revelations of their oldest son, Josh Duggar. After the news broke that Josh had molested five underage girls, including several of his sisters, among whom were Jessa and Jill, TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting.
Josh subsequently revealed that he had cheated on his wife, Anna Duggar, after the Ashley Madison website hack revealed he had maintained two accounts on the site designed to encourage extramarital affairs. He also admitted to porn addiction and subsequently entered a rehab for sex addiction, where he remains.
While Jessa’s older sister, Jill, got the 19 Kids spotlight by having her entire pregnancy featured on the reality TV show prior to its cancellation, Jessa reportedly had been disappointed that she wouldn’t get the same publicity. Now, however, with the cameras rolling again, Jessa will have the birth of her baby shown to viewers. Seewald shared that the baby’s due date is the same as their wedding anniversary of November 1.
Although Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard are excited about having their own TV shows following the cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting, not all the Duggars are so excited, reported IBT.
“Jill and Jessa having their own show is really dividing the family,” revealed a source.
In particular, Duggar patriarch Jim Bob wants to try to exploit his daughters’ show by making appearances on the episodes.
“Jim Bob is desperate to stay relevant and reclaim the Duggar name,” shared an insider. “The family fortune has taken massive hit and he’s fighting back.”
For 22-year-old Jessa, who is on baby watch, it’s added stress. Her father initially was not in favor of having Jessa and her 24-year-old sister become TV stars with their own special.
“He absolutely [wants] to be back on TV and was never thrilled about the show suddenly shifting focus,” said an insider.
With the cancellation of 19 Kids, the Duggar family patriarch may want to be contemplating his blessings for the added income from his daughters’ new show, pointed out Hollywood Take.
In addition to featuring the baby bump blossoming and birth of Jessa’s new little one in Jill & Jessa: Counting On, the 19 Kids reboot will showcase the details of Jill and Derick. But it is Jessa who seems to be getting most of the attention.
“We’re going to be doing some filming preparing to welcome this little one into our lives,” hinted Jessa. “It’s gonna be great.”
Is there potential for Jill’s and Jessa’s Counting On specials to turn into a long-running reality TV show like 19 Kids? It is known that while the Duggars have a net worth of $3.5 million after earning $25,000 to $45,000 for each episode, the pot of gold has run dry since the show was cancelled.
