‘Suicide Squad’ Actress Cara Delevingne‬ Is Haunting As Enchantress

Cara Delevingne is certainly no stranger to modeling, having been a staple in the high fashion world for many years now, but there’s no denying that Cara’s latest modeling gig has left the model-turned-actress looking a bit unapproachable. Dressed in full make-up and costume as Enchantress, Ms. Delevingne’s promotional appearance as the Suicide Squad character leaves Cara looking as haunting as a true Halloween wraith.

Cara Delevingne Gives A First Look At Suicide Squad‘s Enchantress And She’s Beautifully Creepy

We’ve seen Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and she’s as seductive as she is scary, but even Joker’s main squeeze may not be able to hold a candle to Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, if this first image of the Suicide Squad actress in full costume, as shared by Empire, is any indication. There isn’t much out there on Enchantress, as far as her role in Suicide Squad, so Ms. Delevingne’s interview takes fans a long way, as far as knowing what they can expect from Enchantress.

“She’s an ancient sorceress,” says Ms. Delevingne. “A feral being. She’s been trapped for so long and now she’s finally let out.”

It certainly doesn’t sound as though Enchantress has earned her freedom through good deeds and redemption. To the contrary, Cara reveals that her Suicide Squad character steals her freedom by taking over the body of another, June Moon, who had the bad luck of exploring the wrong cave at the wrong time.

“June is an adventure-seeker who’s always wanted some excitement,” Suicide Squad‘s Delevingne says. “And she gets what she wished for, in an terrible way.”

Cara Delevingne Really Dives Into Her Roles

Cara says she’s really been driven to get into her Suicide Squad character, trying to imagine how it would really be to become Enchantress. Heat World reports that Ms. Delevingne has been spending time getting to know her inner Enchantress from blasting Nick Cave’s “Red Right Hand” and most of Megadeth’s discography to spending hours in the hotel’s steam room, where Cara imagines the climate would appeal to the Suicide Squad character.

Cara says she’s been interrupted while indulging her Suicide Squad character in the steam room and the reactions have been unsettled, to say the least.

“Occasionally someone’s come in and I’ve just been on the floor in the corner, crawling around and doing creepy sh-t,” reveals Ms. Delevingne. “I go ‘Sorry, bit weird!’ But I’ve freaked out a few people, that’s for sure.”

Speaking of getting caught in the act, Cara was one to do the busting recently, when she caught a fan texting that she was hanging out with Cara and her friends in a public setting. Ms. Delevingne quickly snapped a picture of the fan’s phone in mid text and, sharing the image with her Instagram fans, posted it with “pretty sure we’ve never met” as a caption.

It wasn’t long before Delevingne’s fans publicly called her out for humiliating the fan, who may have just been sending the text as a joke and not intended to be taken seriously. Ironically, this was just the same response the Suicide Squad actress gave, upon being attacked for her behavior on Twitter.

Maybe both of these girls need the Joker to give them a few pointers on good humor.

Cara Delevingne was featured on one of two Empire covers with the second cover featuring Suicide Squad‘s Jared Leto. Suicide Squad writer and director David Ayer captioned his tweet, featuring the image, “Another shocking look at Mr. J.”

Suicide Squad, starring Cara Delevingne, Jared Leto, and Margot Robbie, hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
