Since the news broke that Southern Charm was shooting season 3, and Kathryn Dennis announced that she is pregnant with a second child since the series started, there have been brief glimpses of the cast here and there around the Carolinas, most recently in Asheville. Also, Dennis is finally back to posting photos on social media, so fans have now seen the mess that is man-child Thomas Ravenel.
According to the Inquisitr, the first sighting of the cast and crew was at a polo match at Whitney Field in Aiken, South Carolina. Though there have been many public statements to the contrary, there on the field, on horseback was Thomas Ravenel, who has been far more entertaining while not shooting than he has been on screen. Ravenel has been in at least two skirmishes, including one where he was head butted in a Charleston bar. For a man who is about to be a father for the second time, he still parties like a frat boy, despite being in his mid-50s.
The Asheville Citizen-Times has spotted the cast and crew of Southern Charm filming about town in Asheville, North Carolina. The whole cast (minus Dennis) was in a bar to see a local band, Maggie & Her Mistakes. Molly Clark, the bar owner, said the shooting was less about the bar, and more about the town of Asheville. She said the cast played giant Jenga. The crew told her the show will air in summer.
Fits news revealed that a charity event will be held next month by cast members Kathryn Dennis and Jennifer Snowden, which will benefit a domestic violence charity.
“Dennis and Jennifer Snowden, who has also appeared on the show, are hosting a ‘Catwalk for Courage’ luncheon and fashion show at Charleston, S.C.’s historic Gadsden House (although the name of the home is misspelled “Gadsen” on the invitation).”
The invite for the event indicates the cost is $100 a head for lunch and a fashion show, “which may be filmed for the Bravo series Southern Charm.” Proceeds will go to “My Sister’s House,” which provides shelter for battered women.
Dennis, 24, is expecting her second child with Southern Charm co-star Thomas Ravenel. The couple’s combative nature has served as one of the show’s prominent storylines – driving a big ratings increase during its second season. Ravenel, a former state treasurer who lost his job on drug charges, has had an eventful year.
The Inquisitr reported that the recent hurricane did a great deal of damage to Charleston and its surrounding, it only briefly put a crimp in the shooting schedule of Southern Charm. Cast member Landon Clements reported that all of the area rugs on her first floor got soaked, but big picture-wise, the cast rode out the storm in style. Shep Rose grabbed his surf board and checked out the choice waves until the sea got too rough. Craig Conover took a boat out to survey the area before the storm, and shared photos on social media.
The Inquisitr also mentioned that Thomas Ravenel is likely laying low since reports were published that suing people is his hobby, and it seems Bravo and the Charleston police department were high on his list of potential defendants.
