Selena Gomez Is Not Dating Charlie Puth
Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez are not dating, even if it looks like it by their cute and cozy Instagram photos. The two singers have been hanging out and sharing photos on the photo-sharing app, but that doesn’t mean they’re romantically involved.
Fans have been wondering if Selena Gomez has moved on with up and coming singer Charlie Puth. Dating rumors sparked when Puth shared this super cute photo of himself with Gomez on Instagram.
Charlie captioned the adorable shot: “the realest and most down to earth person I know. good to know you @selenagomez your album is going to be incredible!” It also didn’t the dating rumors when the “Marvin Gaye” singer had a lot of sweet things to say about the “Good For You” singer.
Selena must have caught wind of the dating rumors because she took to Twitter to share another sweet photo of herself with Charlie Puth along with the caption: “Before it begins, he is a good one. He is MY FRIEND only lol.”
The photo shows Gomez covering her mouth while laughing as Puth wears a paper bag on his head.
That should put the dating rumors to rest for now. Gomez has been complaining about the media’s obsession with her love life. She’s tired of being linked to Justin Bieber when it’s obvious that they’re exes who remain on good terms. During her interview with Elle magazine, Gomez said that she was kind of disappointed with the reaction to her performance at the 2013 American Music Awards.
“Everybody was talking about the same thing: my relationship. I was so exhausted. I said, I want this [performance] to be the last time I have to talk about this. And acknowledge this feeling. I was kind of devastated. I was like, ‘This is all I have right now. This is gonna be it. And all I want is to move on.’ “
The former Disney star previously told AMP Radio that she wants people to focus on her music rather than her romantic entanglements. Sel also talked about her upcoming album, Revival. “I’m excited for people to dissect it and explore it and see what they’re going to talk about. That’s what I want. I want them to talk about my music.”
But Selena let it slip on On Air With Ryan Seacrest when she revealed that she received a text from a “cute guy.” Unfortunately for both Selena and Charlie’s fans, she has no interest in dating the singer anytime soon. Maybe he should work on his pick-up lines.
Earlier this month, the crooner spoke to Billboard about his go-to pickup line. Puth revealed that if he wants to get to know a girl better, he relies on the old line, “Hey, can you help me with something? Can I show you something?” Wonder if he tried that line on Gomez — and failed!
Charlie Puth is busy putting the final touches on his debut album, Nine Track Mind, which is slated for release from Atlantic Records on November 6.
