Doomsday Prophecies Of Blood Moon 2015 Spark Concern Over What Will Happen On September 28

Blood moon 2015 doomsday prophecies predict an "end of days," or the Rapture, to occur on September 28. The fourth lunar eclipse in the past two years is known as a tetrad. The blood moon eclipse will occur on the first night of Sukkot -- a Jewish holiday. The best-selling book, The Harbinger, by Jonathan Cahn, also warns that some apocalyptic type of event might be on the horizon before the end of the month.

A blood moon is a full lunar eclipse, where the rays of the sun enter the Earth's atmosphere and cast a red, or "blood-like," color, NewsMax explains.

The Book of Joel has caused some Christians to believe the blood moon is an omen that some type of doomsday disaster is about to be unleashed.

During an interview on the Christian Broadcasting Network, evangelical preacher John Hagee said blood moons have always been historically linked with a period which "begins with a tragedy and ends with a triumph" for the Jewish people.

The popular American preacher recently narrated the Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change, a film created to coincide with the fourth blood moon. The movie was based on Hagee's book on the topic, the Times of Israel reports.
