Since everything old is new again, and old shows that fans loved are getting the reboot like Full House, fans of Charmed are waiting with bated breath to see if the ladies will get back together to make a Charmed movie, or get fans up to date on where the characters are now.
All of the stars of the show say that they would be up for something to at least tie up any loose ends, and find out what the Halliwell sisters are up to today. Though she has previously said she would be game for a reunion, Shannen Doherty‘s character, Prue, died in the first third of the series. According to the Inquisitr, Doherty is currently suing her former manager for not renewing her health insurance, which led to a delayed diagnosis of breast cancer.
Wetpaint reports that Doherty believes it would work if they did a movie or reboot of Charmed with the children of the former cast.
“I think the Charmed characters are so beloved that it’s really hard to do a reboot with different people if they’re playing those characters,” Shannen explained while promoting her Hallmark series Off the Map — which has yet to get a second season order. “If it’s years later and they’re the offspring maybe that would work.”
She also believes that a Charmed movie on television might work, but thinks it would be unsuccessful at the box office.
Alyssa Milano, who played Phoebe Halliwell, told Hollywood Life that she sees a Charmed reboot in the near future. She says she can “totally see it.”
” I think none of us are opposed to it in either elements, but everything has to be perfect for it to even be considered.”
Rose McGowan recently joked on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live to also give her thumbs up to a Charmed reunion, as reported on E! Online.
“Maybe. But you know what? Witchcraft is kind of awesome and I had the best powers, so I hope so. Sure,” McGowan joked with Andy Cohen.
“It was kind of the best power…Every time I’m n a plane I actually sit and fantasize about my power, that’s how sad it is. I want to orb all the time.”
