Christie Brinkley Beams As Model Rocks Out With Musician John Mellencamp At Top Of Hot New Couple List [Video]

Christie Brinkley beamed as she was seen dining with John Mellencamp. At 61, Christie hasn’t been on the dating scene for awhile, but Brinkley was poised as always during what’s rumored to be the first of the hot new couple sightings for the supermodel and musician, reported MSN.

During their intimate evening at New York City’s Bowery Hotel, Mellencamp and Christie were even dressed in similar styles. The 63-year-old musician wore a casual coat with short sleeves, while Brinkley stunned in classic jeans and casual shoes. But Christie’s great smile was her best accessory.

It was John who showed up solo at the Bowery Hotel, with Brinkley later arriving separately. However, after an hour as a duo, they also exited as a duo, driving off in Mellencamp’s chauffeured auto.

And if actions speak louder than words, John’s intimate touch to Christie’s back as he sauntered along behind Brinkley said it all.

So is it really a new couple alert? An insider said that although both Christie and Mellencamp were at a special screening of Bill Murray’s comedy Rock the Kasbah recently, the dinner for two at the hotel marked their debut on the celebrity duo list.

“It’s not like that. This is the first time they’ve ever been out together,” said the source.

Is it challenging to date men as she gets older? Oh yes, said Christie.

“It seems like during this period that most of the guys are like 38, 39, 42, like that sort of age group,” admitted Brinkley. “It’s funny because I think that at that age they have nothing to prove. They’re very confident and do just what they want to do.”

And the supermodel confided that she feels as if men her own age sometimes don’t even notice her.

“[With] men my age I feel quite invisible to them. I think a ten year span is fine,” she proclaimed.

As for John, he recently broke up with Meg Ryan. The actress and musician were together for three years, then got together briefly again before ending it.

Christie has not had a long-term relationship since she divorced Peter Cook in 2008.

But Brinkley does have a history of romances with musicians, as Billy Joel can testify. Offering some hope to Mellencamp if he wants to pursue Christie, Brinkley recently attended her ex Billy’s Madison Square concert, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Although Billy Joel and Christie have long since been divorced, he apparently will never forget that he wrote his famous song “Uptown Girl” for her when she was his girlfriend. Brinkley was even in the video for the 1983 song.

And so when Joel rocked out to “Uptown Girl” at the concert, he requested that the camera show Christie, who was smiling and subsequently shared her joy on social media.

“He’s still got it! #msg #franchise #nationltreasure,” wrote Joel’s ex.

Billy and Brinkley have a 28-year-old daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, from their marriage, which lasted from 1985 to 1994.
