Cara Delevingne Lashes Back At Richard Madden For Calling Her ‘Unprofessional’ And ‘Ungrateful’ In Viral Interview

Cara Delevingne just hit back at Richard Madden after he slammed the Paper Towns actress for her “ungrateful” and “unprofessional” behavior during her infamous awkward interview with Good Day Sacramento, the Daily Mail reports.

Richard Madden, who played Robb Stark in Game of Thrones and recently Prince Charming in Cinderella, said in a candid interview with Sunday Styles that the way Cara Delevingne handled the interview made her appear “ungrateful,” and that it “showed her age.” The actor added that the way Cara acted might be a sign that acting is not for her.

“It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age. For
Cinderella I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the
same eight questions.”

The 23-year-old model-turned-actress was having none of it, as she responded directly to Richard Madden’s Twitter account. Cara told the Scottish actor that she didn’t know who he was and implied that his statements about her reeked of desperation.

Several hours later, Richard Madden responded to Cara’s Twitter tirade, claiming that his words were blown out of proportion.

The aforementioned awkward interview happened back in July, when Cara Delevingne appeared in the daytime show Good Morning Sacramento to promote her new film, Paper Towns. Cara Delevingne appeared tired at the start of the interview, but showed her willingness to answer all the questions. Delevingne looked slightly annoyed when one of the anchors mispronounced her name as “Carla.” She soldiered on, at least until one of the anchors asked her if she has read the book. It went downhill from there, as Cara, looking more annoyed than ever, responded with: “No, I never read the book or the script. I just winged it.” Cara’s sarcasm seemed lost on the anchors, who advised her to “take a nap and get a Red Bull” before they cut the interview short.

Cara Delevingne was at a loss for words before the interview was terminated, but she would later throw shade at the anchors on Twitter: “Some people just don’t understand sarcasm or the British sense of humour.”

Cara Delevingne received some words of support from none other than the author of the book the Paper Towns film was based on, John Green.

“There are bigger problems in the world?—?in fact, almost every problem in the world is bigger?—?but if people are going to pay attention to these junket interviews and criticize Cara Delevingne for responding flippantly to a stupid question, I think context might be helpful.”
