Christie Brinkley Spotted With John Mellencamp, With A Huge Smile – Is The Supermodel Dating The Musician?

Christie Brinkley had a huge smile plastered on her face when she walked out with musician John Mellencamp on Monday night. The two were having dinner at an upscale New York restaurant and may be dating.

Christie Brinkley, who is 61-years-old, but looks way better than any woman her age or even quite a few supermodels much younger than her, was spotted leaving New York City’s Bowery Hotel with 63-year-old musician John Mellencamp. If Brinkley’s happy disposition is any indication, the duo might be happily dating.

Despite being casually dressed in jeans and high-top sneakers, Christie Brinkley looked quite stunning as she accompanied Mellencamp, who exhibited an interesting persona, wearing a short-sleeve coat, which is certainly not from his regular ensemble. Notwithstanding the choice the attire, the couple looked quite content and seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed their night out, reported ET.

According to a source, Mellencamp arrived alone to the hotel first and was later joined by Brinkley. The duo spent the next hour in each other’s company and looked quite cozy before leaving together in Mellencamp’s chauffeured car. Though he was seen to be quite compassionate towards Brinkley, Mellencamp was reported to be a thorough gentleman the entire evening.

Incidentally, while Christie Brinkley and John Mellencamp attended the Rock the Kasbah special screening — Bill Murray’s new comedy debuting in October — in New York late last month, it is the first time, they have been spotted together, said the source.

“It’s not like that. This is the first time they’ve ever been out together.”

Ever since Brinkley separated from her husband Peter Cook in 2008, she has tried to avoid the limelight and public attention. She has always tried to protect her personal life and did not indicate if there was someone new in her life. Speaking about her reserved lifestyle, Brinkley once jokingly said,

“Most of the time, I’ve got my kids with me, so I’m not as prone to meeting people. And then, you never really know if someone is talking to you because you’re a celebrity. It’s not my number one priority.”

Sharing her tough times managing life post the divorce, Brinkley added,

“You’ve got to find a way to keep laughing, even if it’s black humor, and my friends are very good at that. Some people think of happiness as a ma luxury, but it’s a necessity, and you need to make space for it in your life.”

While Christie Brinkley hasn’t had much practice on the dating circuit, John Mellencamp too, was with Meg Ryan, until the couple called it quits last year.
