Miss Alabama Takes Shot At Donald Trump During Miss America Pageant: ‘Republican Party Should Be Absolutely Terrified’ [Video]
Miss Alabama is the second beauty queen this year to publicly slam presidential candidate Donald Trump, reports CNN, and now the world is waiting to see how Trump will respond. Despite being awarded fourth runner-up in the contest, Miss Alabama will be remembered for taking a shot at Trump on stage.
During the Miss America 2016 pageant on Sunday, September 13, judge Taya Kyle, the widow of Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, asked Miss Alabama why she thinks Trump is so popular, after a poll revealed Trump is beating other “Republican candidates by 32 percent of the votes,” reports the Washington Post.
Miss Alabama was then queried, “Why do you think he’s leading by such an overwhelming margin?”

Miss Alabama, also known as Meg McGuffin, took a shot at the presidential hopeful, answering, “I think Donald Trump is an entertainer, and I think he says what’s on a lot of peoples’ minds.”
The Washington Post writes that Miss Alabama also insisted that “the Republican Party should be absolutely terrified of all the attention that he is taking from incredible candidates like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie who could absolutely do the job of president of the United States.”
Trump, in the past, hasn’t taken criticisms lying down. He’s stayed mum for now, but the world is waiting for his response to Miss Alabama. In July, Trump shot back at Miss Universe, Paulina Vega, after the beauty queen publicly criticized him for his racial remarks about Mexican immigrants. Until this week, the Miss Universe franchise was partially owned by Trump.
Like Miss Alabama, Paulina publicly slammed the presidential hopeful, posting on her Instagram page (via Us Weekly), “As a Colombian and Miss Universe, I want to show my support and validate the sentiments of the Latin community.”

The real estate mogul took to Twitter to publicly shame Paulina, a dramatic move that he might not repeat with Miss Alabama. The presidential candidate called for Vega to relinquish her crown, calling her a “hypocrite” for publicly slamming him but refusing to give up her crown.
The Washington Post reports that Miss Alabama isn’t wrong about Trump being an “entertainer” — at least according to the presidential candidate’s opponents, who recently complained about him. They claim that the businessman is “sucking up too much oxygen,” according to CNN. The real estate mogul has even gone on record stating that “some comments are made as an entertainer.” Miss Alabama was the fourth runner-up in the Miss America 2016 pageant.
