Where Is Andre Bauth? Manhunt On For Emmy-Winning Stabbing Suspect

A manhunt is currently underway for Emmy-award-winning producer Andre Bauth. The Dreamin’ Demon reports that the producer is accused of stabbing a tenant of his at their home after the alleged victim laughed at him. The details of this case are still developing, but what few are making it to media headlines are, indeed, bizarre. Now, the Hollywood producer may face some pretty serious charges, but he’s currently on the run while authorities search for him.

The Statesman reports that the victim of the alleged attack is actor Clayton Haymes, who ironically is starring in a movie titled El Landlord. Haymes told authorities that the incident occurred after a night of dining and drinking with his roommates. Andre Bauth reportedly mentioned that he was going to win five Oscar Awards in his life, to which Clayton and his roommates responded with a laugh.

“When he said ‘five Oscars,’ we all just kinda laughed a little bit, and he got really upset.”

Upset is certainly a mild way to put it, because Bauth allegedly grabbed a knife before chasing Haymes into a bedroom. It was there that the Emmy Award-winning producer plunged the knife into the actor’s chest. The wound require medical treatment. Clayton Haymes was treated for a punctured lung, but is in full recovery.

“I was terrified for my life. I’m just happy to be alive. I just don’t understand why he would want to do this to me ’cause we’re friends.”

Andre Bauth has been on the run from Los Angeles authorities for nearly a week, and now a warrant for his arrest has been issued. He faces charges of attempted murder. In the state of California, an attempted murder conviction could carry a sentence between five years and lifetime imprisonment — depending on whether or not the charges are first-degree or second-degree in nature. In the state of California, attempted murder is a violent felony.

This isn’t the first time someone out of Hollywood has committed a violent crime. Just this year, Dustin Diamond — who starred as Screech in the 1990s show Saved by the Bell — was convicted and sentenced to four months in jail after he reportedly stabbed a man in a bar while defending his girlfriend. In 2010, Shelley Malil — known for his role in The 40-Year-Old Virgin — stabbed a woman at least 23 times, but she fortunately survived. He was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for his heinous crime.

If you see Andre Bauth, it’s recommended that you do not approach him. Immediately call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office at (909) 595-3649, or dial 911.
