Police Officer Breaks Into Home, Does His Laundry

A police officer put himself in trouble this past weekend after he broke into a home so he could do his laundry.

Rankin police Officer Rocco was arrested and charged with trespassing and criminal mischief when his neighbor discovered the officer in his home washing his clothes.

Rocco was arrested on Saturday and now faces official charges.

According to the neighbor he had not lived in the home for months but realized that his electric bill appeared much higher than it should have been with no direct power being used. When the owner went to the home to investigate he found Rocco’s clothes in a running dryer.

When asked why he broke into the home the officer said the back door was already broken and he “just had to do some laundry.” That still begs the question as to why a police officer would not contact the home owner or in the least file a break-in report.

Rocco will head back to court on Thursday where he will be arraigned on what might be the silliest break-in case we’ve reported in 2011.

Rocco does not have a listed phone number and the Rankin police department is not commenting on the case at this time.

I wonder what wash cycle Rankin used because at it stands right now his personal and professional lives both appear to be in rather hot water.

Do you think them “door was already broken” defense is going to stand up in court or get this police officer fired for stupidity?
