Nick Jonas Gushes Over Taylor Swift, Ignites Dating Rumors With Ex Selena Gomez
Nick Jonas may be gushing over Taylor Swift, but is the former Jonas Brothers member heating up dating rumors with Swift’s BFF, Selena Gomez?
In a new interview with The Sun, via the Irish Examiner, Jonas opens up about his desire to “make up for lost time” when it comes to friends and partying because of the “clean image” required of him during his days in the Jonas Brothers.
“I feel like I missed out on the early days of partying because I was in the Jonas Brothers but I’m definitely making up for it now,” Jonas admits, before explaining the details of one of his wildest party nights to date.
“My wildest night was definitely when I went to a fraternity in Ohio. I spent about [$1,400] on shots and ten people turned into 150 people. My head was spinning!”
While Jonas may be just getting into the party scene, the “Jealous” singer admits that he enjoys going out with Taylor Swift and her close group of a friends for a night out.
“Taylor Swift is great for a night out as it involves a lot of tequila,” Jonas admits, before gushing over the “Wildest Dreams” hitmaker.
“It’s all about good friends and celebrating friendship, it’s such a positive environment to be a part of. She’s great.”
While Jonas may be gushing over Swift, new reports are suggesting that the “Chains” singer may be crushing on Swift’s close friend, Selena Gomez.
Jonas and Gomez made headlines for their rumored rekindled romance last week after they were spotted getting cozy at a MTV Video Music Awards after party.
While Jonas continues to play coy regarding the rumors, the singer further fueled the romance speculation when he seemingly referenced a line from Gomez’s latest single, “Good For You,” in his new song, “Area Code,” New York Daily News reports.
In the track, which was released on September 5, Jonas sings, “You say I never been good for you, you can’t deny I gave it good to you,” leading fans to instantly draw comparisons between Gomez’s summer anthem and Jonas’ new track.
Jonas seemingly confirmed the reference rumors when he “favorited” two Twitter posts from fans who pointed out that parallels between the former couple’s new songs.
“Oh my gosh, Nick. Selena. Never thought I’d be saying this again! Area Code references ‘Good For You,'” one fan wrote on their Twitter page, while another adds, “When u hang out with Selena Gomez,” before linking to Jonas’ new song on SoundCloud.
Jonas and Gomez previously dated in 2008 and reignited dating rumors earlier this summer after they were spotted having dinner together in L.A.
