Drew Peterson charged with murder of third wife

Drew Peterson, the main suspect in the mysterious disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy Peterson in a case that gained widespread media attention in 2007, has been arrested for murdering his third wife.

Peterson is accused of killing Kathleen Savio, who was found dead in a bathtub in her home on March 2004. Savio was originally believed to have accidentally drowned, however her body was exhumed after Stacy Peterson disappeared, and her death was re-classified as a homicide.

According to Fox News, Savio’s family filed a wrongful death lawsuit last month, alleging Peterson downed her in the bathtub. That lawsuit also alleged that a few months before Stacy Peterson disappeared, she told a pastor that she knew her husband killed Savio.

As early as this morning, Peterson was the center of a storm surrounding an invitation made to him to appear on a new HBO reality series set in a Nevada brothel.
