Albertville Man Arrested For Hundreds Of Infant, Toddler, And Child Porn Images [Breaking]

An Albertville man was arrested on Thursday by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit after he was alleged to be in possession of hundreds of child porn images, some of which included infants and toddlers.

Rodney Shane Bolding, 43, was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail. He is charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of dissemination of child pornography. He is being held under a $100,000 bond.

The arrest came from a tip received Wednesday to ALEA’s ICAC Unit from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

“Upon notification of the CyberTip, our ICAC Unit took immediate action and began an investigation,” said Secretary of Law Enforcement, Spencer Collier.

“This morning, ICAC Agents executed a search warrant in Albertville, resulting in the arrest of Bolding and the seizure of multiple hard drives and phones containing hundreds of images of child pornography depicting infants and toddlers. We will continue to aggressively investigate and assist in the prosecution of individuals who victimize our children.”

The arrest was made by the ICAC Unit with help from the ALEA Tactical Team, State Bureau of Investigation, Albertville Police Department, and Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.

They have not released further details of the investigation.

This is a developing story. An ALEA spokesman said they would release more information Thursday evening. A current mugshot is also expected to be released.

The above-pictured mugshot is from a previous arrest made in Albertville in January 2015. Bolding was charged with harassment. Bolding was also arrested in Albertville in May 1992 for second-degree possession of marijuana.
