Kim Richards and her ex-husband, Monty Brinson, remain close, despite having divorced many years ago, and on Monday, August 17, Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Brinson, shared the following message with his fans on Instagram.
“One day the people that didn’t believe in you will tell everyone how they met you. That quote is in honor of [Kim Richards] all I will say at this time besides being best friends, and personally a person who has a great heart is thankful to all her fans and friends for believing in her.”
Kim Richards has been going through hard times in the last several months. In April, after several years of sobriety, Kim Richards suffered a relapse and was arrested on April 16 at the Beverly Hills Hotel after becoming drunk and disruptive to other guests. While Kim Richards was asked politely to leave, she refused and police were called. Months later, Kim Richards was arrested for a second time at a Target store in Van Nuys, California, after she reportedly shoplifted over $600 worth of merchandise. Currently, Kim Richards is facing a number of charges stemming from both arrests, including public intoxication, resisting an officer, battery on an officer, trespassing, and petty theft.
Kim Richards’ ex-husband went on to tells fans he has not seen her since her arrest, but he has been speaking to her every day.
“Without going into detail 90 per-cent of what you read is completely false. But for her fans that have stayed with her through this roller coaster will see her very soon at what she’s done best all her life since the age of 4. I’m excited for her. And personally I would like to thank everyone who stood by her through this rough time.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards’ friend, Brandi Glanville, has also spoken out about her struggles . During an interview with Us Weekly over the weekend, Glanville claimed Kim Richards was going to be fine.
“I’ve been in contact with [Kim Richards]. Not in the last week, but definitely, I’ve had her at my home. I had her stay. I love her to pieces and she’s got such a great soul. She’s so smart, and she’s so vibrant … [Kim Richards] just has to get rid of this sickness, and then she’ll be fine.”
Kim Richards is not expected to appear on the upcoming sixth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills .
