Katie Holmes showed off an awful lot of skin while out shooting her latest movie All We Had, as she wore an extremely short denim dress.
36-year-old Holmes was filming her role as Rita Carmichael in upstate New York, and eagle-eyed paparazzi didn’t waste any time in taking photos of the actress as her character, which requires her to look skinny and toothless.
During filming on Tuesday she wore a really, really, really tight denim zip-up dress that repeatedly squirmed its way up her body. Pictures of Holmes in this predicament soon appeared online and then across a number of publications.

All We Had sees Katie Holmes playing a single mother who struggles with poverty after the 2008 financial collapse while also trying to handle her 13-year-old daughter. They then find a home in a Midwestern town where they look to settle. The role sees Holmes playing a character that is a lot more downtrodden than we are used to, as not only does she have to lose a tooth but she has repeatedly been seen in skimpy clothes while shooting around New York.
Katie Holmes, who previously shot to fame as the star of Dawson’s Creek, is also making her directorial debut with the film. The film is based upon a novel by painter and sculptor Annie Weatherwax. All We Had‘s script was written by Josh Boone, who directed The Fault In Our Stars, while the movie was produced through Tribeca Productions by producers Jane Rosenthal and Berry Walsh.
This is a big career step for Holmes, who is not only directing All We Had but is also an executive producer. Back in September 2014, when it was originally announced that she would be overseeing the production, Holmes declared, via Variety, “I am very excited and honored to be collaborating with Jane and Josh on this project and look so forward to bringing Annie’s incredible characters to the screen.”
Producer Rosenthal then waxed lyrical about Holmes’ vision for the project, adding, “Katie has such a clear vision for the book’s irreverent, original mother-daughter relationship. Her passion for the material, along with Josh Boone’s ability to tell stories grounded in the comedy and drama of everyday, will truly bring these characters to life.”
