Trump’s New Target: Carly Fiorina Has ‘Zero Chance,’ Says Trump

Donald Trump has a new target: fellow Republican presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina.

According to a report by Opposing Views, the feud between the two potential candidates arose on August 7, when Trump made a remark about the Fox News debate moderator Megyn Kelly being hard on him because she was on her menstrual cycle.

“You’ve called women you don’t like, ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ slobs, and disgusting animals. … It was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell. Your Twitter account has several disparaging comments about women’s looks,” Kelly said. “You once told a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees. Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?”

The following day, Donald Trump spoke to CNN’s Don Lemon about Kelly’s harsh words, noting that she is a “lightweight,” and he “couldn’t care less about her.”

“I just don’t respect her as a journalist. I have no respect for her, I don’t think she’s very good. She’s highly overrated. I got out there they start saying all this stuff … she gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions. You could see there was b questions. You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever … you could see she was off-base.”

HP CEO Carly Fiorina later slammed Trump, while speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation that aired on Sunday, for making such a sexist comment.

“I think women of all kinds are really sort of horrified by this,” Fiorina told the show’s host, John Dickerson. “Mr. Trump got asked tough questions by a lot of people on Thursday night, but he chose to attack Megyn Kelly.”

“I think you cannot have a president who is thin-skinned,” she added.

The sole female GOP candidate also took to Twitter to voice her opinion on Trump’s comments against Megyn Kelly, writing, “Mr. Trump: There. Is. No. Excuse,” and, “I stand with @MegynKelly.”

I stand with @megynkelly.

Trump later fired back at Fiorina, tweeting that she has “zero chance” of winning.

“I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than ten minutes straight, you develop a massive headache. She has zero chance!” he tweeted.

Although Trump may be considered the most controversial GOP presidential candidate, he is still leading the polls with 23 percent, 10 percent higher than the next candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz. NBC News conducted an online poll, and the Republican primary voters said they would vote for Trump if the election were to be held now. Fifty-four percent of Trump’s supporters said they would vote for him if he loses the GOP nomination and runs as an independent candidate.
