Jeff Dabe, AKA Popeye, Has The Biggest Forearms You’ll Ever See In Your Life [Video]

Jeff Dabe is often referred to as the “real-life Popeye” because the 52-year-old has forearms that are as large as the thighs of many “normal” men. Since he was a baby, Dabe has had gigantic arms — without having to eat an excessive amount of spinach, unlike the fictional cartoon character Popeye.

It was long believed that Jeff Dabe, who is from Stacy, Minnesota, suffered from a form of gigantism. However, studies on Gabe were performed by the University of Minnesota and their investigation revealed that Jeff had no genetic abnormalities, according to the Daily Mail.

Dabe has always had big arms and hands and fortified it even further when he worked on the family farm. In the 1980s, he participated successfully in arm wrestling competitions — until an injury forced him to quit.

“I arm wrestled as a senior in high school. The fans way back then were the ones that named me Popeye,” Gabe told the Daily Mail.

Today, Dabe has forearms that measure a staggering 49 cm (19 inches) in circumference and hands so big he can easily fit a basketball in each one.

Dade confidently said that his huge arms give him an advantage over the competition, which he hopes will earn him the title of World Armwrestling League champion. He’s currently the Minnesota State Champion and was recently invited to compete at the World Armwrestling League.

“Thanks to the World Armwrestling League I am now competing with people from all over America,” Dabe said. “It’s so fun to travel to places we wouldn’t normally go. I was always good at arm wrestling, but the size of my hands did shock people at first – I had the strength to back it up. People freak out when they see my hands in real life.”

Jeff Dade isn’t the only arm wrestler who has gigantic forearms and hands. According to Spot Me Bro, Denis Cyplenkov, a 32-year-old Ukrainian-born arm wrestling champion and bodybuilder, has the biggest and most densely muscled hands in the world. Denis is often compared to the Incredible Hulk.

Denis Cyplenkov has quite an impressive physique, but his most incredible assets are his abnormally thick forearms and hands. His pinkie is so big that it is twice as thick as most people’s thumbs. His wrists are also an incredible 24 cm in circumference, which partly explains his successful arm wrestling career.
